Grey Lynn Pump track moves forwards

Ok folks time to show that you really do support the Grey Lynn Pump Track and want the kids of Grey Lynn, Ponsonby, Westmere, Herne Bay etc to have somewhere exciting and FREE to play.

Before you decide how much to give perhaps think what 30 visits to any other activity that excites your kids this much would cost? eg 30 x snowplanet?, 30 x uptown bounce, 30 x swimming pool visits.

Grey Lynn Pump Track progresses to next stage.

BIG NEWS!
Last Tuesday the Waitamata Local Board as the land owner of Grey Lynn Park voted to give us 'IN PRINCIPLE' support and to fund 20% of the creation of the track up to $30,000.
Now it really feels like we are getting somewhere.
From here its all about fundraising to find the remaining $120,000.
If you know any wealthy philanthropists let us know:)

Important Grey Lynn Pump Track meeting

Hi everyone. Tuesday is another big night for the GREY LYNN PUMP TRACK.
We need YOU to attend the Waitamata Local Board meeting at 6pm at Grey Lynn Community Centre 510 Richmond Road, Grey Lynn.
This is where we hope to get the boards official support, so they need to see a physical presence that shows the community want this.
The last one was awesome so looking forward to seeing you there.

Hello Grey Lynn Pump Track Fans - all 700+ of you at this stage.

Recently we met with Nikki Kaye (MP for Auckland Central) who is using her consideralbe influence to help push this project along.

We have posted about this in the 'Grey Lynn Pump Track' facebook page.

Now we need you (regardless of political persuasion) to go on and comment on that post so that Nikki gets an impression of how much this means to us. Do it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grey Lynn Pump Track progresses to the next stage

Hello Grey Lynn Pump Track fans.

Last night things took a very positive step in the right direction.

Thanks to all the signatories of the petition and the massive efforts of all those in the Grey Lynn Pump Track Society, we were able to deliver a stunning presentation at the Waitamata Local Board public meeting last night.

The board then voted unanimously to refer the project through to Auckland City Council for consideration.

From there the board will then seek feedback from Auckland City Council and then make a decision about giving us 'In Principle support'

Watch this space?

There are many steps in the process but it feels great to be moving through them with your support.

Cant wait to be riding this pump track with the kids:)
