MY Tupuna Wharenui has been lonely for too long we are not being kotahi. Lets do this whanau.

(Auckland, 2020-12-03)

#3

I can't say my marae in my Pepeha because our Tupuna Whare is pouri.

(Auckland, 2020-12-03)

#4

I am signing because the current Trustees have failed in their duty uphold the principles of the Trust for all beneficiaries. I believe they have taken away the rights of the beneficiaries by using controlling, limited and restrictive with the questions option.

(Manukau, Auckland, 2020-12-03)

#5

I te mea, e tautoko ana ahau kia hui tahi ai tatou nga hapu o Te Kotahitanga Marae kanohi ki te kanohi.

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-03)

#8

I have never been made to feel so uninvited before and to feel so by my own warrants minimal confidence in the trust. Zoom is a great option for whanau who are far or oversea's, therefore should be an additional tool upon what has always been done, kanohi ki te kanohi.

(Auckland, 2020-12-03)

#9

Te Kotahitanga marae has been inactive for years. The trust has not made appropriate steps to rectify

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-03)

#10

I won't to be involved in the future decisions of our Marae for my tamariki and mokopuna.

(Dargaville, 2020-12-03)

I’m signing because, we are no longer in covid-19 2,3 or 4 and therefore we should be able to apply our Tikanga and Kawa of kanohi ki te kanohi, Whanaungatanga and manakitanga in a way that honours a way of life our Tupuna and Maatua taught us. I also have no-confidence in the Trustees and the Project Manager?? Which is very sad to say as we are all Whanaunga, and therefore beneficiaries to our Hapu and Marae. It’s an insult to have been muted by the Trustees on a zoom hui for disagreeing to there idea, the Project manager Is totally out of order she wields a power that does not belong to her the chairperson is responsible for leading - sadly this is not the case. We have not had any progress on the property nor have we seen the places cared for, however there’s been lots of $$$ being paid out to lawyers, hui hui, planners, contractors, strategic hui blah blah - so yes I’m supporting the petition - transparency, leadership, and integrity please.

Covid 19 restrictions have been lifted.
I've attended many AGMs in the last 2 months kanohi te kanohi.
The proposed AGM process alienates
Beneficiaries for whom the trust serves.

(Waitangi, 2020-12-03)

#27

THE TE KOTAHITANGA MARAE AGM NEEDS TO BE KANOHI KI TE KANOHI TO ALLOW A FAIR & PROPER PROCESS

(Whangarei, 2020-12-03)

#28

I'm signing to support the whanau and to have a fair and transparent process.

(Auckland, 2020-12-03)

#30

The timing for this hui is not appropriate and that the hui should be of both categories kanohi mi te kanohi and zoom

(Auckland, 2020-12-03)

#32

I want to have the opportunity to hear the kōrero and support the kaikōrero from my whānau at a hui , kanohi ki te kanohi is mana uplifting. I disagree to having a AGM zoom hui, I disagree with the muting of kaikōrero as has been done in previous zoom hui. My whānau meet and discuss Marae matters at our own hui throughout the year, our whānau kaikōrero carry our kōrero and our aroha to these hui. Turuturu a uta, he huia tōna tohu! whakarongo mai ki te tangi a te huia, hui, hui, huihuia!

(Kihikihi, 2020-12-03)

#33

face to face is down to earth - Zoom is not.

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-03)

#34

I'm in support of this petition because I am able to attend the AGM in person. We are not in lock down.

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-03)

#38

I m signing this petition because I agree that the AGM should be an opportunity for the beneficiaries to meet, speak and ask questions to the trust face to face.

(Perth, 2020-12-03)

#40

I feel a lack of confidence toward current decision makers to uphold the mana of our whare Tupuna and in turn our hapū

(Auckland, 2020-12-03)

#41

Kanohi ki te kanohi.. no sneaky zoom dealings cutting off the voice of whanau within this our hapu!

(Perth, 2020-12-03)

#42

I agree that whanau should have an opportunity to Kanohi ki te kanohi

(Whangarei, 2020-12-03)

#44

Because I tautoko Patricias korero

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-03)

#45

Because face to face is a better way to communicate/express your concerns in a meeting and to Zoom over 200 + people is just an absolutely crazy idea.

(Melbourne, 2020-12-03)

#46

I’m signing because I want to have my marae I can go to as well as the future tamariki

(Auckland, 2020-12-03)

#50

I am signing because I have heard a whole heap from our paid and contracted IPM - but not the trust. I'd love a face to face hui so I can receive information directly.

(Papakura, Auckland, 2020-12-03)

#51

I

(Auckland, 2020-12-04)

#52

I support our whānau having a face-to-face AGM.

I support our people coming together to hear, feel and see the trustees korero on how they have discharged their duties & responsibilities and I support the people being given a reasonable opportunity to express their views in relation to the reservation as outlined in the Maori Reservations Regulations (1994).

I have no confidence in the current trustees ability to manage and facilitate a ZOOM ONLY hui, either effectively or fairly as has been demonstrated, throughout the year.

(Matamata, 2020-12-04)

#53

I'm signing because there is so much raru raru going on. So much misunderstanding. Too much people not doing their actual job and being someone are something they shouldn't.
We need to work together. There needs to be a noho or wananga kanohi ki to kanohi.
My Grandparents and My Great Grand Parents would not agree. KOTAHITANGA ONE,UNITY! Leave our marae alone dont move it or add another building. It holds so much history, tikanga, whanaungatanga, aroha and mana! Moving it will strip us all of our memories that have grown up on our marae. KORERO KANOHI ME TO KANOHI. Kia ora

(Perth, 2020-12-04)

#55

I support the kaupapa.

(Auckland, 2020-12-04)

#57

I do NOT want this to be done on Zoom much prefer a transparent kanohi ki te kanohi kaupapa and so f0r those that have questions they will be answered.

(Auckland, 2020-12-04)

#59

Think zoom is dumb and should be held in person would be better

(Māori, 2020-12-04)

#65

Because I whakapapa to this iwi

(Perth, 2020-12-04)

#67

My whanau marae

(Perth, 2020-12-04)

#74

I support the petition.

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-04)

#78

I support the petition

(Kaikohr, 2020-12-04)

#82

I wish to meet kanohi ki te kanohi. I wish to wkakawhitiwhiti korero.

(Whangarei, 2020-12-04)

#85

I am signing as this AGM should be face to face and not via zoom!!

I do not agree with the 2 whare and I am staunch to fly back to attend if it is a option during these trying times!

(Perth, 2020-12-04)

#86

I'm signing in support of my whanau.

(Napier, 2020-12-04)

#90

I oppose the support from Agm over skype due to unknow circumstances not recognising Tikanga Maori fully.

(Auckland, 2020-12-05)

#93

Surely both kanohi ki kanohi would be optional with zoom for those who are unable to attend

(Auckland, 2020-12-05)

#95

I believe that hui should be available to all to attend. Hosting by zoom only and pre crafted questions silences the beneficiaries that are unable to submit questions pre AGM. This to my knowledge is not tika.
Additionally, the 19th Dec is a busy time of the year for most people and not ideal time to be hosting such hui.

(Whangarei, 2020-12-05)

#99

A face to face AGM is for beneficiaries to stand and speak and ask questions of the board. However to include Zoom is an excellent option for beneficiaries, who are unable to physically attend, yet want to be part of the meeting.

(Howick, 2020-12-05)

#100

This is my turangawaewae

(Christchurch, 2020-12-05)

#103

I'm signing because it has been years and they still haven't done their jobs properly

(Auckland, 2020-12-05)

#104

Im signing because this is my marae. Im linked through my grandmother who is an older sister to papa waati erueti who is a kaumatua. My nans name is maata erueti before it was bowled dwn us whanau in auckland were told it was getting renovated but theres still nothing up yet. Us as an iwi have every right thats ours. So we should gt our marae put right bk up nice and renovated as planned. I knw that KOTAHITANGA was one of the longest standing maraes up home in the far north. Thanks

(Auckland, 2020-12-06)

#107

My Nan is Katie Ruawhare.
My Great Grandfather Pine Amine Ruawhare helped build Te Kotahitanga Marae with his father My Great Great Grandfather. The land that Te Kotahitanga Marae stands on was gifted to the people of Kaikohe by my Great great Grandfather to build a Marae on
for the people of Kaikohe not just one person one family or one interest but for or all. Thats why it is Te Kotahitanga. So all beneficiary all whanau everyone that matters should be present when any important decisions are made concerning anything to do with our Marae business our Tipuna put things in place so certain things couldn't happen and too many times before we've seen our whanau in power make decisions that weren't there's to make stop making crooked decisions behind our whanaus backs and using people's disadvantages as a weapon to get what you want.

(Mangakino, 2020-12-06)

#110

Our grandfather laid the foundations it is for all of us who whakapapa to our whenua

(Tauranga, 2020-12-06)

This is my grandmother’s home and land

(Otahuhu, 2020-12-06)

It's the right thing to do

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-07)

#113

To support transparency.

(WELLINGTON, 2020-12-07)

#116

I believe that the AGM should be Kanohi to Kanohi

(Auckland, 2020-12-07)

#123

The meeting should take place in person

(Auckland, 2020-12-07)

#124

Dont agree with zoom only

(Tauranga, 2020-12-07)

#127

This should not be the only option

(Auckland, 2020-12-07)

#128

I love my nana that’s why

(Auckland, 2020-12-07)

#130

I’m signing because I oppose the agm being held by zoom only it should be both physical AND through zoom so that we are able to hear everyone

(Auckland, 2020-12-07)

#136

Because this needs to be kanohi to kanohi not everyone has or even knows how to use tech or even has internet

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-08)

#139

I agree that whanau should have an opportunity to Kanohi ki te kanohi. Making a meeting strictly zoom during covid was understandable, but having it strictly zoom now is hiding truths and taking away the traditional way of our protocol. #kanohikitekanohi

I have no confidence nor trust in the trustees to date.

They are incompetent of cognizance in executing the duties and obligations to beneficiaries as trustees evident in their:
- Poor and inexperienced management skillbase and knowledge;
- Poor and ill inability to execute in the interests of all beneficiaries of the hapu not including those of the secular faith of the Ratana Church;
- Dogmatic and adhoc communication styles that constitutes systemic bullyism and structural bias of exclusivity for the personal secular interests of one denomination of the other beneficiaries.

In brief, they're a poor choice of trustees incompetent for the needs of the trust.

#143

Beneficiaries will not get a fair chance, we are not in level 4 covid so Kanohi is the only best way. We should be fighting to allow Zoom for beneficiaries not living in Kaikohe but we have come to this. Nga mihi Bing

Tautoko ana i te kaupapa o te hui kanohi ki te kanohi.

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-14)

#166

To support the cause.

(Napier, 2020-12-14)

#170

I support the Kaupapa 100%

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-14)

#171

The zoom creates separatism, misconduct, misinterpretation is prevalent if we are informed it allows Ngati Whakaeke to be as one. COVID-19 does not exit as of now, so this form of media is not required any longer.

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-14)

#173

I disagree with zoom

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-14)

#175

I believe in
1. 'Kanohi ki te Kanohi'
2. and what is right

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-14)

#176

WHANAU!!!

(Whangarei, 2020-12-14)

#177

Face to Face is better

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-14)

#179

I want to have a real wananga

(Kaikohe, 2020-12-14)

#185

I don't believe there is a fair representation of our interest and needs as beneficiaries. The Trust needs to be more respectful of the people of our marae and not be about them. Our Hapu is homeless, our people are calling for the marae and our wharenui is calling for its people. Time for those trustee to relinquish their seat at the AGM.

(Auckland, 2020-12-18)
