I am a pensioner & find it very hard most weeks to be able to afford all the food I need. Buy the time I pay all the other bills there is very little left.

Price range here is to expensive

(Hamilton , 2022-06-03)

#1208

I'm signing because the existing Supermarket duopoly is not in the interests of New Zealanders. We must have healthy competition.

(Auckland, 2022-06-03)

#1211

We need this wonderful chain in our country. Fantastic products and fair pricing!

(Christchurch , 2022-06-03)

#1212

We need Aldi to come and give the duopoly's a run for their money. I am fed up with paying more and more each week for groceries. I have used Aldi in Germany, the UK and Australia and would use them again in NZ as good value.

(Christchurch, 2022-06-03)

#1213

The price of food, in particular fresh produce from NZ costs so much in this country. How is a family supposed to provide healthy meals when even local fruit & veg is so expensive?

(Hastings , 2022-06-03)

#1214

The prices of essentials in the current leading supermarket is shocking

(Auckland , 2022-06-03)

#1215

We need more competition to provide options for the community…cheaper groceries for all. I’ve shopped in ALDIs a few times and it really good, significantly cheaper.

(Whangarei, 2022-06-03)

#1217

We are being ripped off in NZ supermarkets. I have shopped at Aldi when visiting Australia and could not believe the prices. We so need more competition here and get rid of the duopoly!

(Auckland, 2022-06-03)

#1218

New Zealand desperately needs competition in the supermarket space.
Total disgrace that new Zealand lamb is cheaper in London than in New Zealand same for cheese and milk etc

(Auckland, 2022-06-03)

#1219

New Zealand needs more competition in the Supermarket sector.

(Levin, 2022-06-03)

#1222

I find the supermarkets so expensive and we are a family that is financially comfortable so i really feel for those people who are struggling. Its disgusting that the supermarkets are making such a profit while so many struggle, so let's see them have some decent competition.

(Christchurch , 2022-06-03)

#1225

We need cheaper groceries

(Christchurch New Zealand, 2022-06-03)

#1228

It's about time we had better grocery options

(Wellingon, 2022-06-03)

#1232

End the duopoly. $1 million a day profit whilst price hikes are killing us. Shame on the two chains of supermarkets

(Diamond harbour, 2022-06-03)

#1235

I believe that food should be alot cheaper in new Zealand. Giants making an obscene profit is ridiculous this is a self sufficient country and this starving the population has gone on long enough.

(Auckland, 2022-06-03)

#1238

I believe having competitors in the market will create fairer prices for us all in New Zealand

(Auckland, 2022-06-03)

#1241

I like competition and Aldi has good quality. The prices are fair.

(Nelson, 2022-06-04)

#1245

I also lived in Australia for 8 years and always shopped at Aldi.

(Geraldine , 2022-06-04)

#1246

why not....we desperately need more competition in NZ....price of living is terrible....rich get richer and the poor get poorer

(auckland, 2022-06-04)

#1247

We need more stores in nz to compete with the other two groups who are ripping us off

(Auckland, 2022-06-04)

#1250

Because we need them to stop our food suppliers ripping is off makings million dollars a day while families are struggling children going hungary
Fair trade wanting better options

(Canterbury, 2022-06-04)

#1255

Aldi are an axing store. I shopped in them when they first opened up I'm my town. They have now grown to amazing modern supermarkets with such a variety of goods at very low prices. Please start building here especially in Beachlands where we only have one supermarket, Countdown, which are now so pricey. Aldi for me please.

(Auckland, 2022-06-04)

#1257

I want Aldi here because of higher cost if living

(kaitaia, 2022-06-05)

#1282

The monopoly needs to end

(Auckland , 2022-06-05)

#1287

there needs to be more competition to bring prices down in NZ. I have loved shopping in Aldi in Ireland where there is a huge range available.

(Hamilton, 2022-06-06)

#1288

Food prices in NZ have to go down! Way overpriced!

(Pegasus, 2022-06-06)

#1303

I want an aldi in nz especially chch!

(Chridtchurch, 2022-06-07)

#1307

After 15 years shopping at Aldi in QLD, I was shocked at the way the NZ supermarkets are rorting the NZ shoppers.
Aldi sell locally produced and manufactured products as much as possible at affordable prices, with a great variety.
Families would be able to afford to make healthy choices when doing their weekly shop.

(Napier, 2022-06-07)

#1308

I love Aldi

(Rotorua , 2022-06-08)

#1310

Aldi is great with a big reasonably priced gluten free range. Please come over to NZ.

(Nelson , 2022-06-08)

#1318

NZ needs Aldi!
We are struggling with the ridiculous supermarket prices.
Please come quickly, we need you!

(Christchurch , 2022-06-10)

#1319

We need Aldi here !

(Canterbury , 2022-06-11)

#1320

Tired of the prices charged at all the main supermarkets. I’m a returnee kiwi having had the pleasure of shopping at Aldi for 20 years! Competitive prices, better specials, quality German items in specials bins on Wednesday’s, meat is far cheaper and saves $$$ for the family shop.

(Christchurch , 2022-06-11)

#1321

Aldi would be a fantastic addition and being competitive oricez to theNZ supermarket

(Wellington, 2022-06-11)

#1322

Aldi is my favourite supermarket.

(Christchurch, 2022-06-12)

#1323

I'm signing this because the two supermarket duoply have had it too good for a long time. And in a living crisis they are putting there prices up more.
Also I lived in Australia and loved ALDI

(Hamilton, 2022-06-12)

#1326

I think we need some competition in NZ...we are getting ripped off

(Rotorua , 2022-06-13)

#1329

I have 'known' Aldi since the mid 70s (back in good old (West) Germany. I admired their innovative approach and efficiency and how it widened the grocery market for consumers

(Lower Hutt, 2022-06-14)

#1330

I am signing this petition because I would like be able to buy affordable quality products in NZ.
I know Aldi from Germany and Australia and love their products.
NZ needs more competition in the food sector for a better price balance

(Lower Hutt , 2022-06-15)

#1331

We need more grocery options and competition.

(Whangarei, 2022-06-17)

#1332

The current supermarket duopoly in NZ means that kiwis pay way too much for basic groceries which causes unready hardship for many families. This is in addition to ridiculously high rents, house prices and petrol. ALDIs would bring a competition which would make prices more affordable which allows families to afford good food to improve health and well being. The profits supermarkets currently make is obscene and is at the expense of the quality of life of many NZers. This needs to change

(Auckland , 2022-06-17)

#1340

I’m signing because I love Aldi and would love to have one here in New Zealand whilst I’m here on my work visa

(Auckland, 2022-06-28)

#1345

We need true competitive grocery shopping in NZ not the duopoly we have now.

(Whangarei, 2022-07-04)

#1346

I used to shop at Aldi when lived in Australia, alwaus good price and great stocks and I loved the central aisle

(Whangarei, 2022-07-04)
