I’m a Dunedin ratepayer , have a house in Fairfield

Russell Nicol (Christchurch , 2020-05-18)

#402

Firstly I want a stringer and more direct future for myself and family. I also own and run a small business on George Street and I am very concerned that our mayor is not listening to us and is showing no interest on what we see is real issues moving forward

Alison Lambert (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#405

What right does Sue Bidrose have, preemptions councils vote by spending $10,000 on 10km per hou speed signs.

Peter Baldwin (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#413

In a time when the whole nation is struggling, instead of investing in infrastructure and helping bring foot traffic to other beautiful parts of the city that are filled with locally owned businesses rather than corporations - Our council is wasting thousands on signage and.... DOTS on the road. This is throwing acid in the faces of those who struggle to pay their rates and are now seeing it thrown literally on the ground as SPOTS. I voted for this Mayor, and I absolutely regret it as he continuously pushes his personal agendas without a thought for the people he is affecting.

Athena Macmillan (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#418

Contrary to law, ogic and local objections

Bridget Brown (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#419

They must be held accountable for enacting something that is not allowed.

George Morris (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#421

#435

🤔

Jamie Harding (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#437

Because this has got to stop before he wreaks the whole city. The feel good projects along with this latest 10kph is all just a joke or a bad dream either way stop to put a stop to the DCC and its policies of bother increasing rates and wasting rates money

Lyn Newcombe (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#439

Because I don’t believe Aaron Hawkins is fit to be mayor and make decision for this city. He is using covid to work his own agenda.

Yvonne Mcmullan (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#442

This council has no interest in listening to the people of this city, instead of ploughing through with its own agenda, regardless of cost, engaged in zero consultation, poor execution of George St plan

Victoria Bradshaw (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#443

i do not agree with what he is doing

Chanel Lee (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#446

Going by what I've seen they are trying to have no cars.. This would affect the shops in area badly..I for one is unable to walk far so shopping in george street would be out of my range, I'm sure there are others same as I..

Alanna Caley (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#448

The mayor is a man who is not looking out for Dunedin rate payers

Judith Hayward (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#451

He lives in a dream world where any form of motor vehicle does not exist

Daryl Craigie (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#461

I have no trust in the current councillors, I thought they would be listening to the people and especially the business sectors. Everyone is going to find times extremely difficult and we need a council that is prepared to support everyone at this trying time, not go against.

Karen & Noel McAnally (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#463

This is not right!!!

Shalay Hotene (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#465

I believe the council is not acting in the best interests of its residents

Gregory Riach (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#469

The mayor is an absolute muppet and has no idea how to improve our city. He is turning Dundin into a joke

Sharon Hill (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#470

The current Mayor and a number of his Councillors have not listened to their ratepayers and businesses and are racing ahead with their own agendas to the detriment of the city.

Raewyn Alexamder (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#473

The DCC continues to waste rate payers money on vanity projects yet expect a rate increase..... the latest of rubbish decisions around 10kms down main Street pushed through hudh hush old boys network.

Kellie Donovan (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#476

I care about my future and my privacy

Jai Smith (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#479

This is a dumb move from the council who clearly are not listening to the rate payers. The Octagon debacle was classic example and the cycle way in St Kilda wasting money. Your consultation process is almost non existent. We do not want this.

Sheree Mason (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#484

Lack of public consultation.

Betty Clark (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#486

I believe that the local council are incompetent and do what they please without input from the wider community

Tui westrupp (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#489

Our mayor is total douche.

Travis Buck (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#490

Disagree with policy and undemocratic decisions.
Do not want to live in a city where the mayor and subjects have a love of power, not a power of love

Robert Roderique (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#491

Anyone from the Greens party should NOT be in a position of power to make decisions for any New Zealander.

David Tuson (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#493

I am signing because this council are out of control they need to listen to the people and stop wasting so much money

Maree Deans (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#496

No confidence in mayor

Anne-marie Reeve (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#498

The current Mayor & Councillors are incompetant - they are Time & Money wasters & have done nothing but cause total caos & disruption to all who live in our City - they need to go

Fi Kc (Mosgiel, 2020-05-18)

#502

I'm over our hard earned money is being wasted on these non essential projects around our city .

Adrian Gardiner (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#505

The council is trying to close the main st of Dunedin to cars . This will not help the businesses in this area and we will lose precious parking in the CBD.

Kerri Mason (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#507

This council does not give a stuff what us rate payers are saying. They just run with there own preset agenders

Michael Wilson (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#508

It’s a joke no parking they have taken away with bloody cycle lanes power charging stations every where more parks gone we need more accomodation for events that are on at the stadium ie concerts

Tracy White (Dumedin, 2020-05-18)

#512

Our Mayor & council are not listening to the people they represent so that leads me to have NO CONFIDENCE whatsoever in them. Lee van der vis seems to be the only 1 listening to the people.

Graeme Gough (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#514

I work in retail and am very worried about the state of Central city shops being able to survive all the changes. Covid 19 had deff put the nail in the coffin for businesses that were in trouble anyway. Unless you actually work in a shop you will not appreciate the damage done and continues to do. A city is only as good as its thriving centre and we dont have one anymore, access is near to impossible if your in a hurry or want to pop into town! I will loose my job within 6 months.

Trisha Bishop (dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#517

Wasting tax payers money on frivolous crap like fake daffodils, current state of cbd......get him gone!

Rebekah McCormack (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#519

i have no confidence in a number of councillors and the mayor who continue to push their own agenda to keep greening the city at the expense of many ratepayers who dont share their opinions. I also suspect that those councillors and the mayor are being pushed and supported by a number of like minded DCC staff

marilyn ward (dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#520

I think our mayor is phenomenally out of his depth and is just going to throw money away for vanity and silly greeny non thought out causes. I also wouldnt mind our council revamped.

Anton Wereta (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#521

This is a poor decision without proper consultation

Murray Barron (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#523

They're not listening to the ratepayers! We have all expressed our concerns and they are just doing whatever the hell they want with ratepayers money!

Rochelle White (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#525

The mayor and council are supposed to represent the residents of the city - this is not happening in Dunedin

Maree McFarlane (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#527

This has gone too far. An incompetent drongo. Not my mayor

Emma Collins (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#530

I'm signing because I think he's an incompetent money waster and is going to cost this city alot and not just in finances.....

Karl Vehikite (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#531

10k speed limit is ridiculous and makes it harder for delivers

Tim Humphrey (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#535

I am sick to death of this & previous city councils running rampant over the wishes of the ratepayers of Dunedin.

Simon Wilson (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#536

I agree. This council’s underhanded approach is likely to undermine already struggling businesses at a time where they need certainty. They need to be stopped.

Mark Hodge (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#537

The Mayor and some Councillors of the DCC are pushing through plans to change areas of the City with complete disregard for what business owners want and what ratepayers want. They do not want to listen to ratepayers when concerns are voiced. There appears to be a hidden agenda with the majority of Councillors. I have no confidence in the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Councillors to lead the City and to act in the best interests of the ratepayers.

Kathryn Dawe (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#538

The Council do not think of is rate payers, business owners. They only think of themselves.

Janine Corrigan (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#539

I have NO faith in the current mayor nor councillors.
They have no mandate for THEIR vision for the city

Diane Chettleburgh (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#540

DCC mayor, office and councillors are going off the rails.

Dave Dewe (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#544

I'm sick n tired of seeing money being wasted on stupid projects that actually dont help dunedin businesses or people at all

Kay Lawson (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#545

They a pathetic

Jamie Patrick (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#547

10 Kms will kill all small business.

Graeme Rountree (Christchurch, 2020-05-18)

#550

I’m over this council doing what they like without taking any consideration as to what the ratepayer have to say. We have lost thousands of car parks. They clearly do not want anyone in the shopping centre. The very place that holds dunedin together. Our Main Street has basically been closed because no one in their right mind would drive down it at 10km/h. Our rates are constantly rising because of their irresponsible spending. Time to step up and help our city.

Michelle Kerr (Dun3din, 2020-05-18)

#555

This is a ridiculous suggestion. My car literally can not crawl along at that speed.
8 weeks of lockdown, zero leadership and you come up with this??? Unbelievable! 🤬

Bridget Telfer (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#557

The fact the signs were ordered before it went to vote is very concerning.

Vaughan Greer (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#558

Because i dont agree with high handed actions by Dunedin Council

Kevin Cosgrove (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#563

No consultation on issues that have major impact on all rate payers. Bringing ideology driven projects to council and pushing them through. Enough is enough

Ken Luskie (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#565

This just doesn't make any sense at all. Total waste of money. I also think this stinks using Civic 19 as an excuse.

Gaynor Gibbs (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#566

This clown hasn’t got a clue what people of Dunedin want .

Jason Byron (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#570

There is no consultation what so ever with the people of Dunedin about these road issues!!!

Robyn Turnet (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#571

Lack of consultation

George Lay (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#574

Public consultation is paramount

Janice Taylor (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#575

I have no faith in our council or our mayor

Melinda McLellan (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#576

At this time this spending on anything other than essential infrastructure is just a slap in the face for people who have lost dollars or jobs due to covid. This city is becoming increasingly too expensive to live in.

Marianne Velthuid (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#579

Council are wasting money!! Flowers around poles? Really? Dots on the road? WTF?

Tamsin Rowe (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#581

I tried to drive in George Street today at 10 km. There was nobody around.
My car did not respond well and at some intersections like Pitt Street so few cars could get through in a light change.
Not helpful for anyone.

Helen Shaw (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#583

The council just keeps spending on stupid ideas.

Michelle Smith (Outram, 2020-05-18)

#584

lack of consultation, bad for businesses , stupid , stupid call to have made. at 10k on the main st peoole are not going to be able to shop easily & that will be fatal for our businesses.

Suzette O'Brien-Harrison (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#586

The greenification of society without a legitimate alternative income source has been crippling this country increasingly over the years. We need to as a society embrace looking after our environment but not at the expense to everything else

Cam Edgecombe (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#588

What a dismal decision - at this time retailers need no more distancing between customers and their outlets. What a waste of money and a selfish attitude displayed by the mayor who young and healthy and hitcher, has no idea of the needs of people who are none of those things. Idiocy.

Kim Clifton (North Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#589

Because Arron Hawkins is rocking this city

Malcolm Wilks (Dunedin , 2020-05-18)

#591

The council are continually ‘adding’ things to the city that actually add no value to the city or the people of the city at all. The parklets were poorly executed, the Octagon trail was peeing executes, the 10km speed limit wasn’t consulted on at all, the potential closure of one lane?!, and now these blue spots. Endless money being poured down the drain, and nothing achieved that encourages the economy or social growth of Dunedin.

Marlise Sparks (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)

#600

I am signing because I do not agree with the 10kmh in theCBD.This is ridiculous, and certainly wasn't enough if any consultation, and passed at at time when everyone was dealing with covid19.

Gail Milmine (Dunedin, 2020-05-18)
