Council is out of order this is really disappointing to hear but unfortunately I am not surprised when it comes to council they think they can do what they like with No thought to those who actually pay rates. No thought to people trying to make a living especially in a covid environment

The council is wrong to remove consents and act without consultation with the Cherry Tree Festival organisers on traffic management processes. Consenting and requesting to remove the driveway is rediculous and the council worker redacting the consent should be held accountable .

I'm signing because Hamilton has always had limited events which is why people can't be bothered coming here.. they tell me...even The ITM Fizzled????
Before the Hamilton Gardens there wasn't one but there was the river, the lake and thankfully Turangawaewae Marae.and Waingaro.
Concerts didn't happen and this event has recently been established as something wonderful to share with the visitors and locals some of which may travel to enjoy its splendor.
Why the difficulty being placed on those who have endured effort and toil to gift the region something as lovely and once in a year spectacular vision, they can't see elsewhere.
A gift of spring, being turned into a barrrier because some can and have the power... to block things they can control and little to things they should focus attention to..
Just try to shine a light and grattitude to others making an effort to make something of the Waikato region.

Recommend it to my fellow Aucklanders. Easy day trip and then check the wonderful Hamilton Botanical Gardens
