Rights to ones own health care are important

NYU’s current policy ignores the science of natural immunity. The Ministry of Health of Israel has adopted similar guidelines to what this petition desires (https://corona.health.gov.il/en/green-pass-lobby/green-pass-info/).

I’m pro vax (I am also boosted), but a sweeping booster requirement without considering people may have immunity from recent infection, short time since completing first 2 shot vaccine, etc., is not reasonable.

Chris Nunnari (Los Angeles, 2022-01-11)

#19

I don’t believe it is the place of the university to mandate this vax when it does not work, especially after being naturally immune.

Michael Manu (New York, 2022-01-12)

#20

I believe that vaccines should be optional and not mandatory. Each individual has the right to choose what goes in one’s body according to the medical needs of that individual. There is no one size fits all, adverse events show this.

Diana Alago (Goshen, 2022-01-12)

Mandates are Illegal. These shots are not Approved and are Experimental.

ROBIN IMBARRATO (Middletown, 2022-01-12)

#31

It’s unethical to mandate anything medical I order to receive an education. this is America.

Jennifer Frasher (New York , 2022-01-12)

#37

There is no reason to vaccinate healthy young adults with an experimental gene therapy period . But since many have had the vaccine and have had covid , their immune system to this virus is robust. More dangerous to continue vaccinations that could be potentially causing harm to the immune system as well as the risks of adverse side effects especially myocarditis which is of grave concern. Please stop these mandates they are unconstitutional , the efficacy and safety of these vaccines have not been proven.

Gia Coffman (Oakdale, 2022-01-12)

#38

Enough is enough. The USA is a democracy and to tell people what they can and can't do their bodies is insane thinking and hardly democratic. Besides the vaccines are dangerous and not particularly effective.

Kitty Farmer (Copey de Dota, 2022-01-12)

#40

Science has proven these shots do NOT work. Ultimately, they are completely unnecessary for these young people. The risks far out weigh any benefit for the students. First do no harm! The NYU board has now been put on notice of the potential harm additional shots pose.

Hartman Yvonne (Apalachin, 2022-01-12)

I’m signing below to oppose the Covid and Flu vaccination requirements. The government, employer nor place of education own our bodies to make medical decisions for substances that have proven not to be prophylactic but rather treatments.

Cindy Lomonaco (Bronx, 2022-01-12)

#48

I am a parent of a student who 1) is vaccinated and 2) had Covid in September 2021.

There is clear evidence that the vaccine and its boosters do not prevent infection or transmission with the latest variant.

Denise Walklett (Pasadena, 2022-01-12)

#53

THIS ISNT RIGHT!

Melissa Rizzo (Philadelphia, 2022-01-13)

#54

Forcing a medical procedure on a young healthy student is immoral and wrong. Not to mention, this makes no medical sense whatsoever.

Matthew Horn (Mount Laurel NJ, 2022-01-13)

#55

It is a human rights violation to force any medical treatment on another. And against the laws of our nation.

Shannan McErlean (Phoenixville , 2022-01-13)

#59

I do not think it is ethical to mandate a booster shot on people who are already robustly immune to COVID-19 by means of mRNA vaccination and natural immunity. The overarching goal should be to keep everyone healthy and only recommend medical interventions with a clear benefit and minimal risk. Mandating a booster shot is not in everyone's best interest and poses a unnecessary risk to those who have sufficient immunity. I truly hope New York University reconsiders their booster mandate policy.

John Gericke (Cherry Hill, 2022-01-13)

Terence should be a doctor. This policy isn’t based on science

I am signing because it is not ethical to force people to take multiple vaccines

Jenna Epperson (Yardley, 2022-01-13)

#73

I'm am NYU alum, and find these mandates unethical and irrational.

Katherine Plyshevsky (New York, 2022-01-13)

#88

Better antibodies than boosted individuals. Boosters have no long term data to confirm it would be beneficial to give to someone already vaccinated plus infected who has natural immunity. Forced boosters are unethical especially from a medical institution.

Thomas DeCesare (Warrington, 2022-01-13)

#91

I don't believe it is medically necessary for students to be forced an additional vaccine as part of their enrollment.

Ryan McIntyre (Warminster , 2022-01-13)

#92

I’m signing because I am an EMS provider who supports personal choices regarding healthcare.

Derrick Kennedy (Sea Isle City NJ, 2022-01-13)

Although protection and safety is of the utmost importance, we can not pick and choose which CDC guidelines we want to follow at every impasse. As a group we should be able to make an educated evaluation of an individual situation and not cover anyone with blanket rules

Mike Pizzo (Philadelphia, 2022-01-14)

#103

My daughter is a junior and is looking at colleges right now. She has already recovered from COVID and now has a robust immunity. I do not feel she needs to take a vaccine that has not fully been tested.

My son has a healthy and strong immune system. We have had both Covid and the Omnicrom variant, the booster seems to account for half of the Covid positive patients. When does enough become enough?

Jodi Barnes (Middleburgh, 2022-01-15)

#121

I am against all mandates! These are illegally being enforced!!

Beth Ann Tambini (Bedford, 2022-01-15)

I am signing this petition because I believe individuals should maintain their medical freedom and have their medical/personal/religious beliefs honored.

Anne Marie Nandzik (Watertown, 2022-01-15)

#127

Not fair

Deborah Rizzo (Phila, 2022-01-16)

#129

My daughter is vaccinated and recently got a breakthrough covid. The immunity attained is superior to the required booster. NYU is forcing her to have a booster while is is already protected for at least 3 months as per CDC. Colleges like Rutgers or NCAA have already given exceptions to members that had covid. Nyu must provide the same exemptions.

Apostolos Gerasoulis (Edison, 2022-01-16)

#130

My daughter at NYU is vaccinated and recently got a breakthrough covid. Per CDC her immunity is stronger than the current booster where even the CEO of Pfizer admitted recently it does not work. As a matter of fact recent data show that booster wane after 10 weeks while natural immunity from covid can last at least 3 months per CDC. Schools like Rutgers and NCAA already make exemptions for members that got covid why not NYU?

Xiaolan Zhang (Edison, 2022-01-16)

#131

There is enough immunity to prevent mild to moderate infection from 2 prior vaccines. Considering potential side effects of 3rd dose, risk benefit ratio is against booster in college student age.

Julia Ash (Hawthorne , 2022-01-16)

#136

It is immoral to use coercion to have people vaccinate. These vaccines do not prevent transmission of the COVID-19 virus. There is no liability, should harm occur. You cannot unvaccinate a child.

Jennifer McIsaac (Craryville,NY, 2022-01-17)

#139

I’m signing this petition because my son is fully vaccinated and was infected with COVID 10 days ago for the second time. He has natural immunity to the virus and doesn’t need a booster shot.

Natalya Ratin (Brooklyn , 2022-01-18)

#140

It’s wrong and illegal

Brian Dulin Jr. (Warrington , 2022-01-19)

#141

Ignoring natural immunity isn’t science

Kyle Stasny (Naperville, 2022-01-21)

#143

The vaccine is useless, stop mandating a 1 size fits all health mandate---IF YOU WANT IT PASSED PUT IT THROUGH THE LEGAL WAY OF PASSING A LAW.
I know of 6 kids now going out of state to college because of NYS draconian disregard to medical freedom for each individual.
If this continues I hope the State goes bankrupt as we are taking our tax dollars elsewhere.

Tina DaBella-DuBois (Binghamton, 2022-01-24)

#144

I'm signing because my child attends NYU.

I am an NYU alumni.
m-RNA is an experimental "gene therapy" having unknown side effects, some of which are infertility, blood clotting and heart disease.

Bonnie Sterling (Fort Lee, 2022-01-30)

#148

I am signing this because the COVID booster shot is forced upon our unwarranted rights and thus far we have not been granted the decision to accept or decline this shot. There has not been concluded enough studies and evidence on this shot and has been proven to have side effects in a multitude of individuals (such as heart problems in young men/women, etc.) Many students (such as myself) were forced to do the shot even when the classes were fully online, which does not make sense. This is unconstitutional and is not supposed to be what America stands for as far as 'freedom' goes.

Mark Sasunov (New York, 2022-02-02)

#149

I’m a parent and I’m sick of these mandates!
