 Excellent idea! Ive often said that we don't have enough pedestrian bridges over highways. However, that still doesn't stop the damage that trucks do to vehicles with constant errors occuring. On 28 Nov 2014 another truck overturned on Field's Hill & crushed a vehicle, killing an elderly lady. 

I have family in Kloof and have lived there myself for many years,the trucks are a definite hazard on the M13 and I agree 100% to ban them.

I have signed it with hope in my heart, but the pessimist in me tells me, that like all others in this vein, fireworks etc. it will just be ignored, because it does not affect a blue light motorcade.

This together with the prosecution of unroadworthy vehicles will contribute to preventing more tragedies.

How many more must die before action is taken?

All trucks should be banned from using Fields Hill unless they are doing a delivery in Kloof!

Too many lives are being lost due to these trucks not caring how they use the road.

I used to live in this area before immigrating to Canada and know how dangerous this stretch of the downward Hill going into Pinetown

Lives are more important than laws! Field's Hill was not built to cope with the modern large trucks : they MUST use the toll road and make a plan to deliver goods to the Highway area in smaller vehicles. It's NOT impossible! Lives are more important than convenience. PLEASE!

 

I was stuck in that traffic jam on Friday 28th Nov for 2 hours and missed a Christmas lunch for seniors __I consider myself fortunate : others were stuck for longer. A couple known to me missed their flights to America, costing them an extra R9000. The lady lost her life! Those witnessing it were traumatised, her family were traumatised, officials having to deal with everything were traumatised! WHY? 

TRUCK OWNERS MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE !!  These vehicles MUST NOT BE ALLOWED ON FIELD"S HILL !!!

It is not the first nor the last time someone is killed on Fields Hill due to a truck - ban them now!

Get trucks off fields hill

I drive to Kloof and back every day using Fields Hill so as a concerned driver, I also want to see an end to trucks using this route! How many more lives have to be lost before this is taken seriously? Please sign!

The carnage on Fields Hill has to stop. Ban all trucks from the M13 and make them use the alternate routes.

We want trucks off Fields Hill. I have almost collided with a truck on a few occasions. Too many near misses!They cannot maintain the correct speed and with the winding hills you come around a corner to an almost stationary truck and you have to slam on brakes and so too does everyone else behind you.

Ban these trucks- enough is enough!

Thanks for the petition, but I doubt that it, in itself will have any impact - more is needed. I have sent many videos to the authorities, who would not even look at them! I lived directly above this spot for 20 years and called for emergency services very regularly, and at all times of the day and night. I believe the MEC should be charged as a co-accused with every single accident as he has the power to stop it, but simply wont! And the traffic authorities too leave a lot to be desired. Moving violations need priority and must be able to be done - despite some difficulties. One need not be Einstein to see the problems, and the solutions, when observing, especially on a Friday afternoon from about 15:30

Put a stop to ALL trucks on M13 Fields Hill - no matter waht the weight or amount of wheels they have, this road was not designed to accommodate these vehicles !!!!

Something has to be done to stop innocent lives to be lost!

Even though I now live in Jo'burg it scares me how often I hear of accidents on the M13. It HAS to stop
