SAPS cannot protect us because they don't even have enough vehicle's and never come out when you call them but within seconds if I call my alarm company they pitch and what about the SAPS rifles that gets stolen and some can use that unlawfully yet you don't want me to be protected by my armed response people

We need security to be safe 🙏

Martha van Greunen (Port Elizabeth, 2025-04-10)

#413

We are entitled to protect ourselves and our loved ones when all else fails.

Deborah (Johannesburg, 2025-04-10)

#415

This is their way of slowly disarming us. SAP are f@#$ing useless. These companies have been keeping our suburbs safe to a degree and without them it will just become a free for all. The predators will run rife. We are entitled to have protection for ourselves and through these private security companies is how we do it. To the imbeciles who want to impose these ridiculous restrictions, think like a human, not a sub human!!!!! Bloody *******s

Dave (Benoni, 2025-04-10)

I am against the proposed firearms regulations for security sector. The SAPS is not capable to provide security for ZA. Without private security crime will rise

Pieter (Uitenhage, 2025-04-10)

#419

I want my family to be safe, fellow SA citizens to be safe. SAPS do not have enough manpower to keep criminals off the streets, they need the assistance of private security

Lee-Ann (Centurion, 2025-04-10)

#424

I don’t want private security companies to be restricted or regulated any more than they already are. I did not vote for a less secure standard of living that the amendments will bring.

Gareth Jones (Randburg, 2025-04-10)

#428

This is already regulated by reg 21. The new changes only give criminals more power to run wild has you weaken the people rights for security in South Africa

Clive (Jhb, 2025-04-11)

#431

I'm signing because I have no faith in the South African Police Service. They are corrupt. They have no interest in protecting the public. Without the private security companies crime will be the worst it has ever been with no consequences other than more and more deaths due to murder, rapes and hijacking, to name a few. This country is lawless.

Linda (Johannesburg, 2025-04-11)

#432

We will have to close our comapnies

Jane (Hartswater, 2025-04-11)

#433

I'm working in this sector since 2012 and it's my bread and butter.
Take a second and think about it,,,
Private security are the ones responding to panic calls or even any tipe of call. Private security are first ones to be at a house break or even an accident,, and private security are the ones who doesn't know what to aspect when responding to a call,, police knows what to aspect, because they are called and informed by private security.. Think about it.

Fanie (Vryburg, 2025-04-11)

We need armed forces!!!! Who is going to protect us from criminals????

Madeleine (Gauteng, 2025-04-11)

Hannes vd Westhuizen (Kempton Park, 2025-04-11)

#439

Saps cant protect us alone,i stay in Central Port Elizabeth and here u see strange things happen. U hardly ever see a police van but atlas patrol every hour. So we need private security sector

Albert (Johannesburg, 2025-04-12)

#448

I'm signing because our security teams do more than our pathetic so called police force

Kirsty (Johannesburg, 2025-04-13)

#452

Security is needed in SA to help prevent crime

Corrie (Alberton, 2025-04-13)

#453

The government can't protect us and now want to protect their criminal friends by banning weapons.

Wessel (Alberton, 2025-04-13)

#456

We need our security guards as the police can’t cope with all our crime the criminals are armed so we have to fight them back

Noni Niven (Johannesburg, 2025-04-13)

#457

We use 2x security companies for our home. We will not survive without any them protecting us!

Ardelle (Johannesburg, 2025-04-13)

#458

Citizens of South Africa needs protection. The government can't even provide vehicles to police station and 80% of the time the police dont care to protect the citizens

Angelique (Johannesburg, 2025-04-13)

#460

Because the government is beyond retarded! The police can't protect us so they literally want to take our only hope away, useless and corrupt!

Crystal (Johannesburg, 2025-04-14)

#461

Security companies are the ones that are protecting us and our first responders. If they disarm them, what will happen to all of us.

Crizelda (Alberton, 2025-04-14)

#462

Security is our only form of protection. They there when we need it most

Charlene Henderson (Gauteng, 2025-04-14)

#466

We need private security to protect our family, business and interests!! Have no trust in SAP or any law enforcement at this stage

Herman (Vanderbijlpark, 2025-04-14)

#472

I disagree and disapprove with this proposed bill. It renders security officers vulnerable and strengthens criminals.

Katleho (Bloemfontein, 2025-04-15)

#475

Our private security do a better job than the police

Tarryn (Alberton, 2025-04-15)

#476

We need private security as SAPS are not always enables i.e. not vehicles, or understaffed at smaller stations.

Valerie (Christiana, 2025-04-15)

#478

They are the only guys we can rely on to protect us

Gert (Alberton, 2025-04-15)

#481

It is imperative we have all the security we can get.

Derryn (Alberton, 2025-04-15)

#482

We need them for protection.

Elizabeth (Alberton, 2025-04-15)

#486

Our town and our country needs the private security companies, we will not be safe with out them patrolling our streets and keeping us safe. It has been proven time in and time again that they definitely make a difference.
I can not even say when last I saw any police vehicle patrolling anywhere in Alberton. I even wonder if we have any police in Alberton. They are nowhere to be seen. So how safe are we going to be. This new law is ridiculous and an injustice. We have the right to be protected as humans.

Michelle (Alberton, 2025-04-16)

#489

I strongly oppose the draft PSIRA regulations that would disarm private security officers and endanger communities. These amendments must be withdrawn. This puts all South Africans at risk.

Shontal Nayager (Johannesburg, 2025-04-16)

#490

Thanks to private security companies, we atleast know if something happens there will be support. As we don't have enough policing to do what the private security companies does. Thank you private security companies for what you do.

Teresa (Alberton, 2025-04-17)

#493

I'm signing because with these new regulations it will bring more harm then good think back to June 2021 with the unrest I know of this because I was part of the groups that was there to stop it and it was not your police that stopped the unrest it was your armed civilians and security officers that stopped and in forced the law with honesty and integrity you tried to stop it then and it didn't work and now you are trying to stop it again now and it is not going to work because when your crime rate increase to more robberies and etc the people of South Africa will be able to hold you accountable for any loss or compensation as you took away the thing that was able to protect them

Robert (Johannesburg, 2025-04-18)

#494

We need our private security as the Police is not existent

Ronel (Meyersdal, Alberton, 2025-04-18)

#495

We need our security company in our residential area

Anne Coetzee (Roodepoort, 2025-04-20)

#497

We heavily rely on security companies for our safety and security and our lives. Crime is out of control. The police is unable to cope with the crime. It sometimes takes SAPS days before attending to a crime scene.
