Baldwinsville Data Center - Public Hearing - Thursday, May 7

2026-05-06 14:05:19

Thank you for signing the petition to request the Lysander Town Board initiate a temporary moratorium against data centers.

The Town Board will be having a public hearing regarding the moratorium on Thursday, May 7 at 6:30pm at the Town of Lysander Building, 8220 Loop Road, Baldwinsville.   After the public hearing, the Town Board will vote on a motion to either approve or reject the moratorium.  The moratorium will allow time for the Town of Lysander to revise their zoning code and ordinances to prevent the irreparable, permanent damage a large data center would do to our community.

Please attend whether you plan to speak or not.  A large public presence at the hearing will show the degree of community concern.  If you wish to speak, please state why you believe a moratorium is necessary.   The Town Board will likely limit public comments to the moratorium versus general concerns about data centers.   Consider phrasing your comment as "The moratorium will allow time for the town to consider [specific issues] with data centers".

Please do not be disruptive or shout during the public hearing.  Do not engage with someone with opposing views.  The Board has the right to terminate the meeting in such instances.
