Lady and gentlemen,

first, I want to take time to thank each of you for signing the petition. It was comforting to know that you cared as well.

Unfortunately, I don't bring good news. I've exchanged emails with the staff and it only resulted in a bold general statement that went as follow:

"We had to re-evaluate our membership structure and came up with a package that we felt would be attractive to all our members. If you wish to view the available packages, please visit our website at www.mcgillathletics.ca  Thank you"

I'm sorry if it disappoints you as much as it does for me. I've tried my best to get a better explanation of the decision, the reasons and process of thoughts that lead to it, but none were offered to me by written, and I was asked to call in to discuss over the phone, which isn't possible for me due to the nature of my work.

On the other hand, Linda Forcillo, Administrator of the Athletics and Recreation, invited me to call her and she did not object that you do likewise. So, if you need more information, and maybe a personal undisclosed discount (one may keep hoping!), do not hesitate and contact her at 514-398-7000 ext 01643#.
