Thanks to everyone who has signed our petition. Early on, we decided to give it a set time, and that was the end of October. We are therefore now closing the petition, and will report the total number of this online version and the paper alternative to the town and Milton Keynes councils.

We will keep NPHS members up to date in our subsequent newsletters.

The most common question we have been asked is the precise objective of this petition. We have therefore added an extra paragraph to the petition page to ensure that our goal is clear to signees. We reproduce here for convenience:

NPHS is concerned about the state of The Wrestlers, and we have written this petition to encourage the Local Authority and owners to work together to save the building. Perhaps this petition will help them agree a solution that is satisfactory to all, but most importantly, safeguards Newport Pagnell heritage.
