Traffic lights between Barton Road & the A580 Lancaster Road

Something Must change. Lives must be protected.

Use to live round this area and even though I have moved I strongly agree about having traffic lights up here

This needs to be done, what's a couple of sets of traffic lights compared to lives?

Come on Salford council do the right thing! You reduced the speed limit on the east lancs due to accidents now put in the traffic lights which are much needed. R.i.p. Aaron and Amy

I live in the houses over the road. This was a horrific accident, one that wont be forgotten. Most of you wont know, there was an accident there about 3 months ago. A Vauxhall Corsa was on its roof. This just furthers the decision to have traffic lights at this junction is the right one. I will ensure the rest of neighbours are aware of this petetion. RIP young Amy and Aaron, sleep tight. Thoughts are with your familes....

They also need to sort out a crossing at the lights at the top of Lancaster road. Due to the configuration of the traffic lights there is always the potential to have moving traffic on the carriageway heading towards Manchester making it very dangerous to cross

cant see anything else that might stop another tradgedy happening,we are unable to stop people speeding but this solution may save lives.

I frequently have to turn right at this junction to head home to Astley and its frightening, especially as so few people adhere to the 40 mph speed limit. Thoughts are with all families who suffered this tragedy and hope justice prevails.

Please please let's hope this goes through there has been many accidents around this stretch of the A580, if not traffic lights at the least speed cameras

This is so important! This area of the lancs has caused many accidents and so many near misses and on Sunday, 2 of the nicest people I could have ever had the pleasure of knowing innocently lost their lives, leaving behind families & so many good friends. Something needs to be done. Rest in Paradise angels xxxxx

England has one of the lowest road deaths in the world.. I feel for the people who died but this is not the answer!! Totally disagree with extra lights. We average 400 deaths due to speeding so I would like to know how many people have died on that road due to speeding?? If your going to put lights and speed camera's there just because of this crash you have to do it everywhere there is a crash. YOU CANNOT DO ONE WITHOUT THE OTHER. You cant prevent every accident due to somebodys actions!! Let me remind you's. I feel for the loss but this is NOT THE ANSWER
