Because it is the right thing to do!
Guest#2 Nov 04, 2015, 16:47
Because the landlord is a blight to our community.

The bar and cafe were my favourite places in Kentish Town and had such a great ambiance. It's unbelievable what has happened here that I hope everyone signs and the landlord doesn't get away with such abysmal behaviour.
Guest#6 Nov 04, 2015, 18:38

Because it is ethically and morally reprehensible to dishonestly profit from the hard work, commitment and sacrifice of others.

It is a shame that one of few decent/good venues around gets shut because a greedy landlord.
Guest#8 Nov 04, 2015, 19:53

It's so unfair,it looks like there is no justice at all.Every landlord can do what ever they want and no one can touch them.My friend Helen put so much effort and hard work to build their bar from scratch and now this greedy landlord wants to take everything from them. Its simple it's not fair at all.Ioannis

We stand for fairness and what is being done is just not right: they worked SO HARD to get Knowhere Special up and running!!!!

Guest#12 Nov 04, 2015, 21:33
We have visited Knowhere Special on many occasions and the cocktails, food and service have been exceptional a business started by a young couple who in the process of building this place down from the foundations were blessed with a little girl now that child's parents have been robbed of their livelihood!

Retail landlords are evil. You work your guts out to start a business and these uninspired slobs see it as a chance to up the rent til you can't handle it anymore and give up. They make a few more dollars and you lose the lot. They are killing business. Rent control is needed.
Guest#14 Nov 04, 2015, 22:04
The greedy conniving landlord deserves to suffer .
Guest#15 Nov 04, 2015, 23:28
Good luck!

I signed this petition because it is shameful what is being done to this business and the people involved not only those who own it but who were employed there and the patrons of said establishment. Also what is the point of having laws and people employed by tax payers to enforce laws if we are constantly having to resort to these sorts of measures in order to achieve what should be standard "normal" behaviour but instead is now being refered to as justice. Shameful!

Somewhere over Knowhere/Knowhere Special

Obscene that this has been allowed to happen. It is theft and a huge loss to the community. It will not be the same if the landlord reopens it as something else. We all know the truth and will not go.

I've been taking my daughter to Somewhere over Knowhere since she was born in Feb this year - Ash, Helen and their staff were so kind to us and it was basically our second living room. There is Knowhere like this in the area and we need the cafe and bar back. Worst case scenario is that Ash & Helen get their stuff back. This is just a disgusting example of greedy commercial landlords and the lack of laws to protect commercial tenants!

I'm outraged at the treatment this young hardworking couple are being subjected to by the leaseholder of this premises. He has done it before to them and it's scandalous he's allowed to do it again. It's heartbreaking for Helen and Ash. Somewhere over Knowhere was an absolute asset for Kentish Town. I'm heartbroken for them.

The landlord sounds like a total bellend

Greed and exploitation flourish when there is no information given to the public. When there is knowledge there is the possibility of halting such abuse. Public opinion can be a force for good.
Guest#22 Nov 05, 2015, 16:57

We will never go in to this place, promise. It's disgusting behaviour!

Guest#23 Nov 05, 2015, 17:31
For all the reasons stated.
Guest#24 Nov 05, 2015, 19:52
Why on earth not as its time we stood up for small businesess against exploitation
Guest#25 Nov 06, 2015, 06:58
Greedy landlord - should not profit from someone else's efforts! Stop him now.
