Our beautiful Common is a play area in itself and could be used as such without being defiled by the fruition of these plans.

A play area on this ancient common would be out of place - it is an area of quiet amenity value. Play areas sited near to busy roads would be dangerous. Chorleywood House already has many sports facilities and is away from roads.

There are two playgrounds within easy access of the area - both have fallen into disuse. I would expect a further play area would suffer the same fate, after having wrecked wildlife and vandalised the natural area of the Common. Rather than spend money on more facilities for small children, why not instead consider creating a venue in the Village for young people between the ages of twelve and sixteen where they could engage in activities and socialise?

Because I feel strongly that the Common is not the right place for play equipment. It is already a giant play area, and enjoys special protection as a Common that should not be breached. If a play area is put on the Common, what special interest group will we hear from next, who want to nibble away another piece?

Because I think Chorleywood Common should be left natural, for children to run free and not to be organised. There are fallen logs for them to climb and jump off. It should be at Chorleywood House.

I have concern about parking congestion on narrow roads and no pavements or proper access with buggies making it dangerous. In particular concerned about site 15 opposite pub due to busy road to station carpark. This is not a good idea.
