My daughter is a final year student. This situation if not resolved will impact her immediate future with regard to employment next year. Under the constitution it is just as much her right to attend classes and exams free of intimidation and fear for her safety as the next.

I want the lectures to continue so that we can carry on with the exams.

I feel extremely sorry for the students who aren't striking; are paying fees and are actually studying! We would all love free education but has anyone bothered to think of costs involved to run a varsity AND now there are damages to be paid for too

there is absolutely no intelligent reason for these protests. FREE Teriary education should be offered YES.. BUT to Students who have Obtained EXCELLENT matric marks, in the form of BURSARIES and SCHOLARSHIPS. On the basis of MERIT. Oh.. we already have that! Whats the problem?

This is my alma mater and it has fallen into disrepute i.r.o. willing, keen and 'wanting' students to get on with life and striving to achieve positive goals. Leave the merauding minority to grovel around in the mud - look after the ambitious, capable and paying majority, please.

I believe in the democratic right of the majority of students to receive the education that they have paid for and worked for.

I graduated from this instutution and got a good education. I think it is shocking that young people are not being given the opportunity to further their education and enjoy student life. Action must be taken against those disrupting it for everyone.

Education is a necessity to qualify us for a job. That is why we have access to no fee primary and secondary education. Tertiary education is a privilege. It is possible to obtain a bursary or to work and save up. Many young adults have been successful in doing so - so why can't the rest get it right? Lazy? Vandalizing their own resources necessary for their tertiary education, knowing that it will cost more money to replace or repair - still thinking they should have the right to receive the education? People with this mentality do not deserve the tertiary education!

There are many students that are dedicated and determined to succeed in life and their parents have sacrificed a lifetime to enable them further education at University ~this behaviour displayed currently is destroying many futures and crippling the status of much need qualified people who are sitting idle as assignments and exams are not being met due to the situation ~something needs to be done and needs to be done ASAP ~

I work at a University and I feel very strongly that it is only a small minority of students going around initimidating the other students who actually want to learn. Everybody has rights in this country and the students seem to think they are above the law. And the minute they get disciplined it is police brutality or somone is raped by a policeman. Its a joke.
