Our right to freedom of speech and expression is enshrined in our Constitution. The online news regulatory regime implemented since 1Jun2013 by MDA is a deprivation of our constitutional right. Doing so would inhibit the contribution of alternative ideas and views by our citizens towards improving the lives of Singaporeans and making Singapore a better place to live in.

Govt is forcing netizens to go underground. Anyway, it only needs an overseas central reception centre to broadcast netizens' views both locally and globally which wld be worse for the ruling govt.. Impeding freedom of speech wld only infuriate netizens and this will be translated into opp votes next GE.

This is regressive politics and has no place in todays modern world of liberty, freedom of and free speech. How could one with a conscience allow this to happen?? How could a human being live a life without a basic right to engage, discuss and criticize!!!

 "What is freedom?" you asked.     Freedom is built upon the Constitution and ABIDE by the CONSTITUTION by all in the country.         Especially so, by the "appointed" members of public who are given the "authority" by the voters.    This authority which is called "Government" -  it is their obligation and responsibility to the citizens to uphold the Constitution     BUT   this "Government" has been abusing and violating the very Constitution which they sworn in to uphold after every election.

Look at it this way:    A man at his own will to become a priest.   He sexually abuses the children in his parish.   Must we the parishioners continue to let him continue his "addiction"?

No Man Is An Island, what nature created should not be abused or taken for granted.
What humans produce should never be dictated to the extent of suppression?
If that happens it is modern day slavery brought onto innocent and truthful citizens, for no good reasons by a regime.
Only incompetent politicians or rulers go to this extent, and we just saw one in our own backyard.
