finally CT will have a LEGAL drag racing venue again!

This is great news! We need a track in CT!

Exciting a drag strip in CT! Fun entertainment and great for the local economy!

We've needed a drag strip in CT for years.This will help keep racing on the track and off the streets.

This will be a great addition to the area for everybody. Both professional and street racers

A 1/4 mile track would be better, lets go for that.

This planning was done TOTALLY behind the backs of the people who live in this area where the track is planning on being built. We were NOT contacted in any way shape or form about the impact this would have on our property values or our quality of life. We do NOT consider them good neighbors building this in good faith as NO ONE in this area was contacted so we could attend Zoning hearings. Shame on HDRA for blindsiding the people who own property,and want to continue living quietly in our homes. Shame shame shame on them for working behind closed doors on zoning. And Shame on our local government and newpaper for not letting us know. We all should have received certified letters notifing us of zoning dates so we would know of the impact of this racetrack. Yes, you want a racetrack...but would YOU want it literally in YOUR back yard?

I hope every thing goes well. A group of people tried in mass. a few years ago in warren. It was looking good but failed later. Even though I.m not a gambler the casinos are having a hard time trying to build in mass.

WE need more dragstrips in Northeast. I lived in South Carolina, you can throw a rock in any direction and hit a dragstrip.

I've been to Epping N.H. & Englishtown N.J.My dad drove Top fuel Dragster NEW ENGLANDER 121,so I been to a few drag strips on the east coast.Would be nice to see something in Connecticut.I am in support of this petition for the addition of a drag strip.

This would be great for Connecticut. We don't have anything in this states like other states do. Also it will get the cars racing on the street to the track. I can't wait to run my car!

I lived in Connecticut for 30 years and attended the last runs down the track of the old Connecticut Dragway. It really bothered me that I had to drive hours to Englishtown, NJ to go to the drags. I think the idea is long overdue and I will certainly attend races when I visit home. Good luck and fight through all of the naysayers; it is a good idea and will be great for the economy.

We need a facility like this to keep our racing money here at home. Also to reduce the temptation of street contests.

About time they decided to give us guys a place to race, i hope this gets up and running soon
