A great idea, for too long Britain has given aid to countries who don't want it, or need it, i.e. India & China. Charity does begin at home, the help should be immediate for those poor people who continue to suffer daily, tell the decision-maker's to act immediately......

If David Cameron doesn't change his mind about foreign aid in relation to this problem, then nobody should vote for the Conservatives again.Charity begins at home!!!!!
I and my family will not vote conservative again if he doesn't come to his senses.

The Enviroment Agency have no money to sort out the flood issues, we have a pump parked outside our property in the event the river overflows. One of the remedies would be to dredge the river, but they are cash strapped. Foreign Aid must be stopped for a year so that this country which needs its infrastructure improved should be the beneficiary, of what is in effect tax payers money. The Conservative Party should wake up if they want my vote ever again.

I don't think for one minute the government will listen to us in order to stop
overseas aid to help our own countrymen in the west country politicians
if you can call them that do just as they like we don't count only to vote them
in.

Many adults do not appreciate that " Billions " is
already ONE THOUSAND times "Millions " .A ll the more reason to reduce overseas aid by a few per cent until flood relief work is completed in this country. This leave,say, 90% for overseas aid !

I can only agree with this petition, as I live in Somerset, and have witnessed the damage done to this area by not dredging the levels. These were always dredged on a regular basis until the environment agency become involved.Its about time they were sorted out, especially when we have to recruit Dutch engineers to assist' where the environment agency cannot,will not, not interested
respond.

This petition is pure common sense. We are the great helpers, rushing to the aid of any country in trouble but not seeing this concern reciprocated when we need help so we must look after ourselves and use the overseas aid budget to do so.

I strongly urge you to divert some of the 11 billion a year spent on overseas aid to ease the suffering of British flood victims, to build and maintain flood defenses to prevent a repetition of this crisis.

As we all know must of the money given in foreign aid never reaches the people who should be getting it. To give money to India and China is an absolute disgrace and should be stopped immediately. Lets do something with this money let's spend it on the UK flood crisis and the people affected by the water , who ever they are .
I doubt very much that any aid will forthcoming from the rest of the EU and world .

A "billion" pounds is already ONE THOUSAND times one "million" pounds -- let us just retain 10%
of OUR tax money for home use in flood prevention /repair work. Just for ,say, five years, the overseas aid would still be 90% of our (over) generous donations.
