A group of 13-15-year-old children have had their holiday of a lifetime disrupted because Israel, twice, has not allowed Mazen Salahaldin the head of some of the childrens' school to travel with them to London. On both occasions Mr Salahaldin has has been given absolutely no reason for having been turned back, despite letters having been sent to the Israeli Embassy. Occupied people are supposed to be afforded 'protected persons' status and should be granted freedom of movement. The children will not now be able to visit the seaside in Devon or go to a concert that they were scheduled to see. What kind of "democracy" does this to innocent children? It seems that Israel is becoming increasingly restrictive, not allowing Palestinians out, or visitors in, and consequently, it appears that the people living in Gaza are not the only prisoners held by Israel outside of its 'formal' gaols. Not being allowed visitors and not being allowed to travel are breaches of international law and also the Geneva conventions on human rights andthe rights of the child. Please allow this man, who has committed no crime, to be allowed to join the children who were meant to be in his charge. This constant cruelty and denial of any cultural life must not be allowed to continue.

It is totally unfair of the authorities to prevent the Head teacher of these children from travelling to the |U.K.
"Might is not always right" as history has demonstrated in the past.
If "bystanders|" during the holocaust had had the courage to intervene then things might have been different.

what can possibly be the rationale for refusing this teacher to undertake this travel? perhaps he will tell what it really is like under occupation?
