It seems the. Strike is not coming to an end.Everybody is feeling the financial pressure!The AMCU Union and memvers have no clue how to resolve this!At the end of the day Mines are going to close and everybody is going to be without work and an income!AMCU wake up!Please we want to work!

Two choices here - they either end the strike now and people go back to work whilst micro businesses take 6 months to a year to recover (if ever)
OR
The strike continues until after the May 2014 elections, ANC is elected for another 4 years, EFF gets parliament seats and Helen Zille resigns from DA. Lonmin withdraws from South Africa, so does Anglo and Impala. The economy collapses in South Africa, crime will be at an all time high (1 out of every 3 people will be murdered, raped or killed) repo rate continues to increase, electricity cuts due to Eskom's inability to budget, water shortages in rural areas, petrol prices increasing, inflation increasing and ofcourse, the e-tolls.
If you ask me? This country is doomed. Get your passports ready and start looking for other jobs while you can.

Something needs to be done, we can't live in a country where thugs can strike everytime they feel like it. Why sign a workers contract if not happy about the offer on the table? End this or face the terror of mankind...

Mense dit kan nie so aangaan nie. Plaas laat die myne die wat wil werk gaan werk. Hier is baie mans en seuns wat voor die stakings sonder werk gesit het, ek glo hulle sal glad nie omgee om te gaan werk nie, en sommige van (daardie) werklose mans het ondervinding. Stop die stakings

This strike has gone beyond what is reasonable. It is hurting the workers and companies alike; will impact on our national economy through increased inflation and discouragement of foreign investment. Meanwhile Joseph Matunjwa is sitting “fat and happy”. He is pursuing this issue for his own ego and possibly also for political reasons – I do not think he is acting in good faith, with the workers’ interests at heart!

Lets not only blame the other side both sides to me are bloody wrong i feel they letting this happen on purpose I mean how can let people lives fall apart this and still blame each lets just go back to work and both mathunjwa and the management deal with this while we busy making a living I mean thats going to benefit all of us

It saddens me to hear what is going on in Rustenburg.I lived there for 36 years and moved down to Natal after my husband passed away,but stil feel Rustenburg is my hometown.All one can also do is prsy and pray a lot.

Enough is enough. People are suffering, we don't have money to pay school fees and transports. We need job security. Mathunjwa has more than enough for his family. We can't even pay for our accounts. People are being chased out by landlords who are renting. Come on platinum belt, Mathunjwa is not big enough, God is.

I agree that the Union is being irresponsible. Why do the affected workers not demand a Stipend from the Amcu union to help them through the strike. Do the striking workers think that the Union Leaders and their families are going hungry?

Why are the strikers not asked why the Amcu top brass are being paid huge salaries and are well fed while they the strikers and their children go hungry?
Flyers should be printed and circulated amongst the strikers telling them to realise that they are the only ones in Amcu that are suffering, the fatcats are lapping up the limelight.
