Ban Tail Docking on Dogs in Ireland

Barbaric.

I've just adopted an Irish mutt, his tail tells me how he feels. Do NOT dock dogs' tails, it deprives them of what is the equivalent of a happy smile.

I am a veterinary student and fully supportive of this petition.

Such an inhumane act carried out on animals for no reason but "Cosmetic" shame on any society or government to permit such a thing. Shame on the TD's that have gone back on their promises too.

while the removal of the dew claws can be a necessity in some dogs, it should be carried out my a trained professional with concurrent pain relief anything else is just plain torture
