I'm a student in Hall County. This is very important to me because I believe teaching abstinence is not going to help anyone. It is an ignorant way of "teaching" students about sex.

As someone who used to be a Hall County student, I can tell you first hand that teaching abstinence didn't keep anyone I know from having sex. It's a disservice to the students if they aren't taught how to protect themselves.

There are teen boys who don't understand the concept of periods and there are teen boys and girls only being taught abistinance and never how to practice safe sec and that needs to stop.

The only thing they teach us is abistinance and that's great for some people but kids are going to have sex anyways clearly considering our pregnancy rate is way too high. There is no curriculum surrounding practicing safe sex which is generally a life skill that we need.
