they might have misinterpreted the teachings and practicality of the pious book.
A no. of reasons can be behind this, the translation or the person interpreting the book or might be misinterpreted by some one whho's afraid and jealous of our culture and a legendry book like tthat one.
I request the Russian government first to understands it's teachings and high moral values then I strongly believe that they will not just dissmiss that case but will make portions of it madatory in their schools and/or teaching system to teach highly social , moral humanity based values.

Just do a comparison of Bible, Quran and Gita. It won't take more than 3 hours to realize that Gita has no comparison. It is not any one religion specific, it doesn't say you MUST convert to "my" religion, it does not preach any violence against any women/kids/unarmed/non-combatants, it is divided into 18 'Yogas' which are designed to make a human, a perfect human.
Don't do any more blunders and become a laughing stock across the world. In India, we always respected Russia from Soviet era. Keep up the good image by throwing away this ridiculous idea of banning any version of Gita.

The Bhagavad Gita is a Book of Knowledge, a non sectarian philosophy that guides us today and beyond. The wisdom shared in the book is timeless and its ban meaningless. Can anyone hide the light of a lamp or the fragrance of the flower?

По плодам познаете их........ Абсурд, в результате чтения Бхагават Гиты люди становятся тихими вегетарианцами, по крайней мере я. Те же, чья нетерпимость к чистым и искренним духовным движениям выражается в попытках ограничить их распространение, сами того не понимая лишают себя возможности проповедовать.
