Have you had a look at how many people have been killed or injured by cows.
To put it simply for you. My friend has 700 livestock and a lifetime in farming. HIS opinion is that dogs and cows do not mix and IS very aware and up to date with the problem.
What did you think would happen?  People who have been attacked had no idea it was about to happen until it did with tragic consequences.

Hi Mr Guest, like Penwith Moor, and other formeley unenclosed spaces, visitors numbers have plummeted. Mothers with pushchairs don't like it, the disabled dont like it, the nervous dont like it, and lets not forget dog walkers, the very people that commons existed for, they don't like it and also the cattle were not on permanentley

So there we have it. What are the risks, are you prepared to say there will never be an issue? Can you emagine how terrifying it would be?

Cattle do not have to have calves to be threatening,  whether your dog is on or off a lead will make NO difference if they decide to go for you and your dog. If you or I tried to introduce this risk on public spaces the HSE ( health and Safety Executive) would come down on us like a ton of bricks.

I was on the common thursday of this week I had walked from the top car park down Near poolands when I saw a landrover enter the commom via the large gate.I followed the landrover along the sandy path just outside the lower forest,he drove up the sandy bank towards the top of the common. He then drove along the top path round the fir tree plantation the up the path towards the main car park.I then saw him when he was heading back BY THIS TIME HE HAD BEEN DRIVING ROUND THE COMMON FOR 20 MINUTES LOOKING FOR THEM.
The driver of the van stopped and asked if I had seen the cattle and I told him no.

I ASKED HIM WHY HE WAS DRIVING ROUND AND NOT WALKING AS HE HAD TWO TERRIERS IN THE LANDROVER WITH HIM.HIS ANSWER WAS THAT HIS TWO DOGS DIDN'T LIKE CATTLE!!!!!
I ALSO ASKED HIM HOW MANY MORE WERE COMING AND HE SAID HE IS ALLOWED TO PUT UPTO 30 CATTLE ON THE SITE.
THIS IS THE THE FARMER WHO THE CATTLE BELONGS TO HIS NAME IS ADRIAN WHAT CHANCE DO WE STAND HIS DOG SEE'S CATTLE EVERY DAY BUT STILL NOT USE OF CATTLE.

THE MAIN THING THAT I WAS VERY UPSET ABOUT WAS THE DAMAGE THAT WAS BEING CAUSED BY THE LANDROVER.
AS HE WAS DRIVING UP THE SANDY BANK HE HAD GONE UP THE SIDES OF THE PATH LOTS OF HEATHER HAD BEEN SQUASHED LOTS OF THE HAD SOIL WAS FALLEN DOWN AND IT WAS A MESS.iF YOU HAVE A GOOD LOOK YOU CAN SEE LANDROVER TRAILS ALL OVER NOW.FOR GOD SAKE JUST THINK OF THE DAMAGE THAT IS BEING DONE JUST BY THIS MAN WATCHING HIS CATTLE.

AT THIS A HORSE RIDER CAME ALONG AND SAID SHE HAD SEEN THE CATTLE SO HE HEADED OFF IN HIS LANDROVER ONCE AGAIN.

HE TOLD ME HE IS GOING UP THERE TWICE A DAY AT THE MOMENT SO THAT MEANS HE COULD BE DRIVING ROUND THE COMMON TOTALLY DISTROYING THE PATHWAYS AND ALL IN HIS PATH FOR TWO HOURS A DAY.hE IS ALLOWED A KEY TO OPEN A BIG WOODEN GATE,SO THIS MEANS HE HAS GOT ILLEGAL GRAZING FOR HIS CATTLE AND CAN DRIVE ROUND THE COMMON WHEN EVER HE LIKES.

SURLY THIS IS NOT RIGHT CAN I HAVE A KEY FOR DAYS I FEEL ILL BUT STILL WANT TO WALK MY DOGS,MORE TO THE POINT WHY CAN'T THEY ISSUE THE DISABLED A KEY SO THEY CAN GAIN ACCEESS,NOT VERY ADVISABLE NOW THE CATTLE ARE THERE.!!!!!!!!!!


MYSELF I AM NERVOUS OF THE CATTLE AND JUST HOPE WE CAN GET RID OF THE THING BEFORE AN INNOCENT PERSON GETS HURT!!!!!!!!!!!

THE THING THAT BOTHERED ME THE MOST WAS THE LANDROVER AND THE DAMAGE THAT IT IS DOING.

COME THE WINTER MONTHS WHEN IT IS WET IT IS GOING TO DO SO MUCH MORE DAMAGE.

THE PATHWAYS WILL NOT BE THERE FOR PEOPLE TO WALK ON ITS GOING TO BE A MUD TRACK WHERE THE LANDROVER HAS BEEN.

THE POLICE CANNOT IGNOR YOUR REQUEST, THEY MAY HOWEVER SAY  HE HAS LAWFUL EXCUSE, HE HAS NOT, 1, HE IS NOT A COMMONER AND 2 HE HAS NO LAWFUL EXCUSE TO DRIVE BEYOND THE PERMITTED 15 METRES FROM A STEEL ROAD, THE CATTLE ARE TRESSPASSERS.

SIMPLE, BECAUSE NO ONE CAN GIVE HIM PERMISSION, HARTLEBURY COMMON IS A SECTION 45 OF THE ACT, WHICH MEANS THAT NO OWNER COULD BE TRACED FOR THE COMMONS REGISTRATION ACT.

THE COMMONERS ARE PROHIBITED, AND THEY HAVE LEGAL STATUS TO EXTRACT SAND, GRAVEL AND TO TAKE STONE.

I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT WCC HAVE NO STATUS AT ALL SUBJECT TO THE COMMONS REGISTRATION ACT.

I'm sorry to say that the people putting stupid posts on here are the same people who were supporting your petition.

The same style of writing, the same insults all over again. On reading this post they will claim ignorance, i have been through this game so many times.
You may be aware by now Carol that when you talk to other people about hartlebury Common, you will struggle to find a single person in support of the changes.

Thats what makes our "Guests" so speacial, they are in a realy tiny minority, pretending to represent the many. A mouse pretending to be a lion.
