P.S. You are a wonderful person, doing important compassionate work. Your neighbors should be honored to know you, and help out, in my opinion. My neighborhood in Glen Ellyn has many dogs, some of whom bark, and no one bothers anyone else. I'd take them if I weren't disabled, myself. I'm limited to a small lap dog, which came from a shelter but was healthy.
