This was my favorite childhood place to see movies with lots of fond memories! I would love to see this theater back open again.

This was always such an incredible place to see movies. It would be amazing as multi use arts building. It is perfect for an Art gallery/museum for local and state artists, a theater liKe the Capre on Broadway, movie screens, or arts school..The lobby would be perfect as an art gallery!

Because Hy Vee only cares about themselves and I believe that a historic site such as the Terrace Theater should be preserved for the future.

I grew up in Crystal right on the 47th Ave. N. border of Robbinsdale. We watched alot of movies there and my Mom also worked there. Some of the best memories of my life were spent in Robbinsdale and the Terrace and I would hate to see it destroyed just to put in another chain grocery store. The Terrace could be made into some Great for other generations to enjoy and make there own memories.

First theater I'd ever been to, it was so glamorous even in 1972! Especially if we can get it on the historical registry, LEAVE IT ALONE! Let it be preseved!

Please save this beautiful piece of history! It could be an anchor for the area. Redo this Terrace to include a large multi-purpose space that will benefit the community and beyond.

please reconsider. I will never shop at a Hyvee  and I was born in their corporate state, Iowa!! Shame on you Hyvee and The City of Robbinsdale!

Why the heck do we need so many grocery stores? I just don't understand the fascination of building a new grocery store over tearing down a place of history. I realize it needs a lot of work and may not be suited for just another theater, but I am sure there could be several options at that site. The Theater has many memories for so many!!!

So I sign this petition today because I grew up going to that theater as a young child with my godfather my daughter is now 2 years old and I would like to keep this theater so I can share that with her as well

I grew up in Robbinsdale and the Terrace was a fixture and should be kept that way. I am now in my 60's and it would be terrible to destroy it.  Tell HyVee to take a "Hyke"

Please consider saving the terrace theater. It has countless memories, such great beauty and architecture. It is truly part of the community Amd deserves to be a historic monument in Robbinsdale. Putting in the hyvee store and tearing it down will only hurt the community. Hyvee is not reasonably priced does not fit into the demographics of the area. I view to never shoo that location of you tear down the terrace theater.

I want Inland Development Partners and HyVee to revise the development plans to either incorporate a renovated Terrace Theater into the development for a valid new use, or to partition the Theatre building and land and donate/sell it to another entity to conduct the renovation. Hy-Vee cannot call itself a community-oriented business if it ignores the high level of interest in saving the Terrace Theater for its historical landmark status. A renovation could make the development a regional destination draw, thus benefiting the grocery and providing added value economically and culturally. Customers vote with their feet, and also their social media.

Preservation of a historic landmark is important especially since Mpls is so known for the arts and theatre. We as a community need to show our kids and the community that old is new again! Remember.....reduce, reuse, recycle!

The Terrace Theatre is an icon. It should be preserved and treated with reverence.
I used to love Hy Vee until I read this article.
I will not be spending another dime at a Hy Vee store. Find a different location that will welcome you and leave the old Terrace Theatre alone.

When I was pregnant with my first child, I went to see The Lion King at the Terrace Theatre and it's a wonderful memory that is never to be forgotten. She'll be 22 this fall and getting married next Spring and it's great memories like that that many people remember and need to continue with their children.  Stop being a throw away society and use/reuse what is already here and better built than any building now.  Robbinsdale needs a draw other than overly priced restaurants and whether it's repurposed or used as a theater we in Robbinsdale need to keep it from demolition.
