my brother died on the A249 20 yrs ago seems life is cheap to the highways dept some things never change shame on them

To the people who have lost their lives - it's a tragedy and devastating to those left behind. It's not the bridge that is unsafe - if driver's took more care and paid attention to their surroundings and anticipated what could be ahead. Only today (1st Aug) at around 12:45 there was a cyclist (yes a cyclist!) going over the new crossing, only to be overtaken by a lorry whose driver was on his phone !! For those that say it's unsafe - then use Kingsferry Bridge - simples. Perhaps there needs to be spot checks by police every now and then. If people didn't know when the police were going to be there - then they may pay more attention to their driving.
