I think a few people are going slightly crazy on this forum unfortunately. What's the need to scream (in loud capital letters) and make stupid arguments when there are really good intelligent arguments that can be presented in opposition to ITV...?

If you cannot think of anything sensible to say, rather remain silent. By behaving like this you give those who are for ITV a chance to say that poor and useless statements/charges are being made against the channel.

I am in the kitchen for your information.

Whoever signed this petition is intelligent. Just by opposing ITV you show that you have a certain dregree of intelligence with you alhamdulillah.

And its worse for an intelligent person to make stupid arguments than for a stupid person to make stupid arguments. That's all.

From the way a few people are commenting, it appears that they're more angry becoz of the money ITV/Radio islaam is making than anything else. Thats a silly argument because its not haraam to make money. If a person runs a madressa and charges his students R20.000 a month, it will not make his madressa, salary or deed haraam. If a person writes a kitaab and sells it for a million rand, it will not make his kitaab, deed or money haraam. If radio islaam was doing EVERYTHING halaal and ran the station in 100% compliance with the shariah in obediance to the commands of ALLAH and HIS Rasool salallahu'alaihiwasallam, even if they made a billion halaal rands per month, we would not have any issues.

Its not the money they're making which renders their deeds haraam and infuriates people, its their doings.

Thats the reason we should rather concentrate on what they're doing instead of how much they're making.

Nobody wants you to give a cent. I will never give radio shaytaan or iblees TV a cent either.

Just a question: In these 2-3 months that its going to take for ITV to stop the music on its channel, wouldnt muslims get so desensitized to listening to music that they won't even mind the music anymore???

If you need to crticise ITV put the blame on my shoulders. I am willing to meet with Jamiat to discuss whatever can be done to rectify and or correct and or improve the situation.

You are to be blame for ITV but so are the ulama who are for it. After all, you are not an aalim who has taken on the responsibility of protecting and defending the shariah like the ulama have. Sighhhhhh! some people view blatant transgression of the shariah as trivial. Ayisha R.A said: Once the Prophet came back from one of his travels, (came into the house) and I had covered a wall with a Qiram (a thin woolen garment) with pictures on it. The Prophet got angry and cut the Qiram and said: "The worst punishment on the Day of Resurrection will be for those who imitate the creation of Allah (by making pictures)." [Bukhari and Muslim].

Television is picture making, its creating the likes of an animated being and serves the same purpose of as a sketch, drawing or painting. Even if there is ''difference of opinion'', Aren't we supposed to fear ALLAH enough to at least exercise caution and refrain from picture making - electronically and digitally? If 150 moulana's say that TV is halaal - IT PROVES NOTHING, EXCEPT THE FACT THAT 150 MOULNA'S ARE OFF THE TRACK or at least have erred majorly in this instance.

I am based in Johannesburg. A lot of us have seen through the Jamiat Fordsburg Branch. Those that do not follow like sheep rather look towards the KZN Jamiat and Jamiat Gauteng. Jamiat Fordsburg are run by a few THUGS and a few other ulema that are too scared to open their mouths or follow thes thugs into the lizards hole.

I am warning you people down there in KZN . DON,T LET THESE GUYS EVEN DELIVER A TALK  THERE. THEY ARE SWEET TALKERS, THEY WILL PULL YOU GUYS IN AND YOU WILL ONLY REALISE WHEN IT'S TOO LATE.
