Seems like the referees are against the smaller teams, who are playing the multi million teams, which is giving them the advantage.

Goaline technology introduced this season, will only aid correct decisions for a team perhaps once each season. As Natterjack commented, video play-back for decisions is so commonplace in other sports and does not unduly interfere with the flow of those matches. We all want to see correct decisions made, be they for, or against you. Why then, to eradicate these endless debates on the validity or otherwise, of a referee's decision, can't the (mainly redundant) 4th official, simply offer a 'video play back' decision?

Re Realist

They may even out at the end of the season...but that doesnt make the wrong decisions right. The refs also even out their poor decisions in the game, that again is wrong. The game is far quicker now, with players becoming experts in cheating. There is a need for video refs as per rugby/cricket/tennis etc, but the football governing bodies will never follow suit as they see themselves as elitists. There lies most of the problems... With the amounts of money at stake for clubs, not just in relegation, but in one place higher in the leagues, there is a need for help to the officials to ensure as much as is possible is called correctly.

Why not have a league table for Premier League refs.Excellent refereeing 3 points good 1 point bad 0.At the end of the season bottom 3 drop out of the league.Points to be awarded each week by team manager and team captain.

It is worthwhile.

Why are Fifa and EUFA so opposed to technology that would improve the FANS experience. I know that most revenue comes from other sources but without the FANS there is no need for professional football. Wake up Luddites
