Because if we keep destroying our heritage we will have nothing left to show and share with our childrens children. Not inly that the cinema would bring bring life back to ringwood

We need an entertainment hub for our town. It will help regenerate the town long term.

I signed this petition because restoring the Regal Cinema would be highly beneficial to Ringwood. It should be restored to its original features offering a wide variety of events and entertainment. Ringwood is growing with more bars and restaurants opening up and to have a music / cinema/ live show venue would be excellent bringing more jobs too.

I think it will be so well used and supported .

I was born in Ringwood at the cinema was a focal point of this lovely town. The dramatic society played there every year -my parents played there too, and the whole town seemed involved and connected. Thousands of carloads of people clog the roads going to other towns to the cinema so please rebuild the Regent and bring some life back into the town ! Romsey have enjoyed theirs for many years. Please please please

The Regal is an important part of the town's history. Equally, there is a huge opportunity to integrate this into the heart of a thriving 21st century town. It has space, character and flexibility to fulfil many beneficial functions. Sympathetic planning will bring this building back to life.... it must be saved - it would be a crime not to.

Although I live in Australia I come back to Ringwood at least once every year and it pains me to see the condition the Regal is in - what a poor look in such a prominent position!

I believe in local entertainment, by and for local people, which helps to build a strong sense of community, which we need so much. This site is ideal for such a venue, having a frontage on the main High Street and being so close to the large public car parks, better even than the proposed Arts Centre, which is not so near the centre of town or main car parks.

Ringwood needs entertainment brought to the town. Just like Christchurch, Wimborne and Ferndown.
The Regal Cinema must be made use of instead of standing empty. It will bring more people to Ringwood to spend in the local shops.

It is long overdue, Ringwood needs an entertainment venue, sooner rather than later
Guest#138 Jul 26, 2016, 18:14
Ringwood needs a cinema and theatre.
Guest#139 Jul 26, 2016, 18:15
It is a wonderful building.
Guest#140 Jul 26, 2016, 18:18
Important to keep our old buildings.

I think Ringwood like Christchurch would benefit by opening the Regal again
Guest#142 Aug 04, 2016, 11:22
Ringwood would benefit from it's own Cinema / Theatre and I think it would be both popular and successful. We currently travel to both Christchurch Regent and Wimborne Tivoli, it would be nice to be able to travel closer to home.

Because as I was a projectionist for many years it's sad to see these old cinema / theatres standing derelict when they could give so much pleasure to people young and old. GOOD LUCK.

Please don't let this building disappear live theatre is on the up and we have nothing on the doorstep.
Art novel is a beautiful period for building let's save this historical building.

The high street and market place is like going back in time. Anything other than the facade of the Regal would stand out like a sore thumb and completely change the ambience of old Ringwood.

This would be an incredible site to have re-opened again would just give Ringwood another edge!!
Guest#147 Oct 20, 2016, 12:26
Ringwood Regal should be restored it is part of Ringwood history and a beautiful building which would be used by many local people and visitors alike.

The Regal is part of Ringwood's fabric, it should not ever have been allowed to stay closed for so long in the heart of the community. a healthy antidote to the commercialism of the Furlong.
Guest#149 Nov 01, 2016, 23:19
I think it would be a real asset to the town.
