Reinstate Elvis' name on the "USS Arizona"

He deserved to be noted for the hard work he did in 1961

Elvis was a very generous man & taking his name off is totally unfair

It is beyond me anyone had the audasity to remove Elvis' name in the first place. It wouldn't be there without his contribution. Elvis loved that memorial and his country. He did not abuse drugs (illegal) all prescribed, do your homework.  He was a sick man with many ailments and his heart condition was the same as his mother's.  PUT HIS NAME BACK.

He helped raise money for this, why shouldn't his name be on it?

Because of my loyalty and love for Elvis.

Elvis Presley is a good singer. An International artist.

I am an Elvis fan and know he helped finish off project .He was ill man and yes he had prescribed medication but press made it sound worse than it was.They like to put stars on pedi stall amd are quick to judge and knock them off again.Elvis was a remarkable selfless man who helped charities and others less furtunate than him and his name should be put back and honetd for his work.

Elvis'name deserves to be on the USS Arizona!! Don t forget he gave about 170 000 dollars to the War Memorial Commission !! It would be a shame if not !!!

So let me ask you Pearl Harbor people this, if you can not put Elvis's name back on the plaque, will you give E.P.E money back that Elvis made to finish your memorial?

Because Elvis's name has the right to be on the memorial USS Arizona, if my memory is correct because of him that memorial is standing there for his enormous contribution, how dare the ones that chose to remove his name, over all Elvis has been a great contributor for U.S in every which way, shame on those that chose such a disgrace towards a man that does not deserve it. Thank God he's no there to see such disrespect, if anything he only harmed himself and no one else with prescribed medication, every once in awhile let's pretend to know what it is to be in some's else shoes...shame! shame! shame even for the gov't to allow such disgrace, I pray Elvis's name will soon be on that memorial with all of its rights to be there!

Elvis has all the rights to have his name on that USS Arizona Memorial, of the places for someone to choose to disrespect Elvis Presley, a man that loved Hawaii and contributed in a big way for that State, he helped make it happen and it's because of him that memorial was and still is, no one should have the right to remove someone's name a main contributor for a memorial unless that person harmed someone's else other than himself, step up to the plate whoever you are that removed his name and do the right thing...

Because I believe in what this petition represents...reinstating Elvis' name and rightly so...I sincerely hope this petition is successful.

 I totally agree with that suggestion I was thinking the very same thing...

why on earth would you take his name off?? He helped in soooo many ways..can not believe anyone would even think of doing this to him and he can't answer so we are doing it for him..he would be devistated to think somone could be so CRUEL!!!

Because i am a big Elvis fan and as Elvis helped raise the funds for the memorial i think his name should be on the memorial.The removal of his name from the memorial is scandalous and an insult to his name and his legacy.Elvis did a lot for charities throughout his life and career.

Elvis' name should NEVER have been taken off - he did a concert to help raise the money for it !!!

I called these people when I worked at EPE and it us totally nonsense to not have Elvis name displayed as the Navy did!!!! If not for Elvis, that memorial would not exist!

Because Elvis did a lot to raise money to fund this in this first place.Plus he is a much loved American icon and deserves respect for all he did for his country.
