I have always admired Elvis for his generosity and compassion for those in need. He was a great role model in that way regardless of his personal problems.

Elvis gave them money..they accepted it. Whatever "drugs" he took were to to go to sleep, get up. We wanted so much from as a person/performer. He did not do "drugs" that we normally call drugs like coke, weed and ect. Thank you.

Elvis deserves to have his name on the USS Arizona.
Guest#207 Jan 12, 2016, 19:45
To reinstate his name to the USS Arizona which shouldn't of been removed in the first place. He was the biggest contributor for making the memorial happen.
Aloha Nui Los Elvis!

My love for Elvis. I don't agree with drugs whatever they are for but they were for his own use. The dry are more to blame than him should never have been prescribed as they were.
Guest#209 Jan 12, 2016, 21:36
Because Elvis's name should be put back on the "USS ARIZONA" where it belongs .
Guest#210 Jan 12, 2016, 22:26
I signed this petition because ELVIS was the one who started raising funds for this. I have been to the USS Arizona when his name was displayed and it should NEVER have been removed. His name needs to go back on there now!

Reinstate Elvis' name to the USS Arizona

As a huge Elvis fan and an Elvis Tribute performer. Elvis' name deserves to be on the "USS Arizona. He committed and devoted his time and his service to our country and to raise funds for for the Arizona Memorial - in remembrance of the many men that died during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour in December of 1941. An estimated $500,000 was needed to build the memorial, and only half of that had been raised. Ticket sales for Elvis’s concert raised some $47,000 – to which he and the Colonel added another $5000. Initially Elvis’ name was displayed on a small plaque at the memorial, recognizing his generous donation, however sadly, it has since been removed as management of the tourist site changed hands. However there is still an acknowledgement of Elvis' contribution within the Museum itself. Elvis Aaron Presley was a very caring, loving, giving and humble man who deserves to be recognized for his contributi

I love Elvis! He was a great man. He donated, they have the $, no taking his name off. They still want the money, right? Not offering back to his Estate, right? An idiotic idea from the start!

Guest#214 Jan 13, 2016, 00:54
Because I think he helped raise funds for the USS Arizona he deserves to have his name placed back on it.

Elvis not only made the the memorial possible he was one of the most Patriotic Americans of all time. I am an ETA as well as an Elvis Fan. Even as a Canadian the fact that Elvis was removed from the memorial is an insult and a complete display of disrespect. Shame on you. LONG LIVE THE KING.
Guest#216 Jan 13, 2016, 04:57
There is no man in America that has helped or donated as much as Elvis Presley
Guest#217 Jan 13, 2016, 13:22
Because I 'm an Elvis Presley fan, I think his name should be reinstated, after all he was the biggest rock/roll legend this world as seen. Hel to the king (Elvis Presley).
Guest#218 Jan 13, 2016, 13:52
very disappointed
Guest#219 Jan 13, 2016, 13:55
Because I'm an Elvis Fan, and regardless of Elvis personal issues, he was always patriotic and helped the Uss Arizona memorial.
So he deserves the respect.

Elvis donated more than any other individual donor towards the building of the monument. He deserves to be recognized for that generous act, and the plaque should be hung there for all to see.
Guest#221 Jan 13, 2016, 15:06
HEhelped raise money for that its not fair his name not be on it also

Guest#222 Jan 13, 2016, 15:45
No matter what happened in Elvis' private life, his generous donation should be recognized! How many other famous people has issues but are still lauded for service and donations.
Guest#223 Jan 13, 2016, 16:09
Elvis was not just an entertainer, he was a man who loved his country and the people. To have him recognized would be such A wonderful tribute to his memory.
Guest#224 Jan 13, 2016, 17:30
No one is perfect. He did so much to help others.
Guest#225 Jan 13, 2016, 19:56
Without Elvis' contribution the memorial would have struggled. He even paid for tickets for all his people and himself, how many people went as "dignitary's and didn't pay. His name should never have come down, "let those without sin cast the first stone" as Elvis would say. He has done so much good in this world, putting others before himself, surely he deserves our thanks for ALL the good he's done. Lets show we appreciate and love him. TCB forever
