I signed because it was prescribed drugs Elvis was taking and I know it was by his own doctor but they were prescribed also we know now that Elvis was not a well man health wise and was in considerable pain so no doubt he needed his medicine and I may be wrong here but didn't the U.S,army give him pills to make sure he never fell asleep while on night duty during the cold German winter nights ,I'm sure I read it in Elvis what happened just after he died .

I signed this petition cause of Elvis's donations to the memorial his name has every right to on there. What he did with his personal life was none of anyones business. Since he was such a bad influence how about tear down the memorial and give back the money he raised to his estate? Woll never see that happening

I have always loved Elvis Presley since I was a teenager, and still to this day.

To honour Elvis and the work he did by putting on live shows to help support USS Arizona. And the breave men and women that give there lives, so we all can live.

Because I believe his name should be reinstated.

Why the hell would you remove his name ...he served our country and respects our country more than many .he gave a free concert and donated where that didn't raise with a personal check .... no one else did that ....what elvis did or didn't do in he's personal time is no concern of anyone's...and it has nothing to do with this .... This is so wrong . I will not go to Hawaii EVER until his name is put back in the proper place .....long live the man who praised and loved his country to the fullest ........this is shameful

I believe it is horrible to have removed Elvis' name in the first place. What ever happened to "cast not the first stone unless you are free of all sin!".

Because it is the right thing to do.

Not only because i am a big fan of Elvis, but in my opinion they never had the right to remove his name. They never investigate alle the accusations about these alledged abuse of medications. And if they had done this, they never had to dared to remove historische name. Sorry put it back were it belongs

Because Elvis did so much good in his life. Just because he abused prescription pills should not be a reason to remove his name.

Because they didn't have the funds to finish it, they asked Elvis for help. They wouldn't have the memorial or finished as timely without him. Elvis was also a soldier for the USA and should be honored. If they don't honor Elvis, for his help, then they should pay the money raised plus interest back to the family so they can donate it to someone who appreciates their help. I've visited the memorial and it is a beautiful tribute to the soldiers that tragically died.

Because it is a insult to Elvis Presley's name he was so proud of that memorial
