Because I love Elvis Presley not only as an artist also as a human being!

Elvis is well known for his philanthropy. He was a major force in getting that monument built. His personal failures have nothing to do with this issue.
It is a travesty that you could just wipe out his contribution. He remains one of the most beloved entertainer across the world. He served his Country in the Army. I don't suppose you were so offended by his behavior that you returned his donation when you removed his name?

This is bullshit taking elvis off the memorial
Guest#607 Sep 02, 2016, 06:01
Knowing that Elvis was one of the first people to to raise funds for a memorial. And he's also been there to see what the funds did for national park system.

My reason for signing is because Elvis was the reasons it was build, he did a concert and have all the funds raised so this could place could be builded. It was and honor for him to have done this and his name should be there because he is the reason it is there today. Thank you Elvis God bless you#!

Because Elvis did a concert to benefit this cause it is only right he should be reinstated,he was a very generous man and helped many charities in his time to take his name from the memorial because of his addiction to prescription drugs is ludicrous,at least he wasn't a smack head!!

Dobrze, że zrobilście tą petycję.Elvisa zna i kocha do dziś cały świat.

It was a disgrace to remove Elvis' name from the memorial, and that mistake needs to be corrected.

This man was known for his generosity and that is what this should be about.

Because Elvis did pay for it. I loved the King!

His name should have never been removed in the first place. They didn't turn his money away when he gave it to them. There was NO proof that he had illegal drugs in his system. In fact the autopsy proved that the drugs he did have was the amount he was prescribed.

Because he did alot of good for people. He gave away so much time, money, valuables, cars, etc during his life. He did the Aloha from Hawaii concert for charity as well. He bought the first ticket, and he was THE star of the show!!!! If you go to Graceland and go thru the area and see the number of charities he supported, maybe the people who chose to remove his name would see all the good this gifted man did for his fellow man and not just choose to beat him down for his faults. He was human, like you or I. If he had a better support system around him, things may have turned out differently. Loren Kacon
