Letter to Mr. Medvedev, President of Russian Federation

Mr. Dimitry Medvedev, president of the Russian Federation,

We express to you, we the undersigned of intellectuals, writers, journalists, artists and political activists, of our extreme shock with regards to the Russian Federation’s biased international stance in support of the Syrian regime knowing that this regime is carrying genocide against unarmed Syrians asking for freedom, social justice and democracy.
Knowing the historical and deep relation between the two countries, Russia’s interests are better strengthened with Syria’s population and not with Syria’s regime that is killing and committing daily atrocities against its people. It’s a regime that has lost its political, national and humane legitimacy with the blood spilling. It’s a regime that is destined to disappear in a short time.

And as we reiterate that Syrian citizens looks upon Russia and its citizens as friends and those who stood by Syrian and Arab causes on countless international occasions, we are deeply disappointed without Russia’s support to us at this critical period when Syrians heroically express clearly their demands of liberty and chant for political freedom.

We appeal to you Mr. President and ask you lend your support to Syrians whom can no longer live under the rule of this regime in any way when their memory is full of horrible images of killings and torture. Syrian will remember and cherish your supportive humane stance .
From Syria, we cherish and rely on your continued devotion to Russia and our support to human values and the just causes of freedom and dignity in the world.

By supporting assad you are participating in killing syrian people and you have to share him the result of this, war crimes. We don't need foreign intervention but we need you to condemn the brutal practices of assad's regime and advice him to LEAVE because the majority of syrians wants only this. To save syrians lives, tell him we don't need more fake reforms or promises, we don't like him, and we decided to restore our FREEDOM.
