KRUGER NATIONAL PARK ANTI HOTEL DEVELOPMENT GROUP

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING
just an additional 240 people consuming the same amount = an additional amount of 720 cans which have to be "imported". The food requirements added to this will probably amount to not only the additional traffic of having additional people in the park, but how many more speeding trucks delivering the food and drink?
These truck drivers are not bound by the usual speed limits and from what I've seen, have scant regard for the higher speed limit of 60km per hour. The drivers give no thought to slowing down to pass where you might be sitting appreciating a special animal sighting.
The carbon footprint of the additional "tourists" and the added need for more deliveries will have a huge impact on the environment. That's just one additional "Bush lodge / hotel".
There are plans for 6.
Please copy this link and pass it on to all your contacts and get them to pass it on to theirs and so on. It is the only way to stop the madness.
If we fail to stop this, we fail ourselves and future generations. It's not enough anymore to sit and complain. It's time for action.
Anybody who would destroy a natural resource that really should be a UNESCO world heritage site must be a complete moran. Utilizing correct marketing and sustainable tourism SANpark could increase and play a viable and important role of saving not destroying a very sensitive ecosystem. But as usual, some idiots with a not so bright idea will insist on their decisions for personal gratification. Save Africa!!
Leave Kruger Park as it is which is an refuge for wild animals NOT a refuge for humans. We have already disturbed the balance in the Kruger by allowing overcrowding, noise pollution and untamed humans destroying one of the only sanctuaries left in SA .PLEASE STOP FURTHER DEVELOPMENT IN THE NAME OF ALL 4 LEGGED ANIMALS AND BIRDS, REPTILES, INSECTS AND THE LIST GOES ON.
WORDING CHANGE
I hope to see more support for this cause now.
This is in part a BEE motivated deal given the Chairman of SA Parks' involvement with one of the hotel consortia. Mabunda's arrogant dismissal of Joubert's objections is typical of the ANC 'entitlement' attitude to whatever is there to plunder. Mabunda, who should know better, and who should be our chief steward and custodian, is just another patrimonial lackey. Our protected areas stem from Magna Carta and our ethical cultural and environmental stewardship from Christianity and other religions. They are not for sale.
