The summer fest is one of the few good things in bray. Those councillors have ravaged bray with questionable dealings and they can't just get rid of an event that draws many people into the town to enjoy the great seafront area.

Huge event for bray and the money it brings to the town. Disgraceful it's cancelled

The summerfest is the only thing bray has going for it

It is such a brilliant day out for all the family and creates extra revenue to the local area.

We as a family have been coming to Bray every Summer for 30 years. The atmosphere the summerfest brings has definitely kept us coming back in recent years. The decision to cancel the summerfest is a poor decision without any consideration of the impact on tourism and then in turn the impact on the businesses throughout Bray. Hopefully this is overturned

All the empty shops on main street if the seafront goes its curtains for Bray

It is a disgrace to the town and the councilors we the people of Bray and surrounding areas voted in if they cancelled their own junkets the town would be a wealthy place

It brings life to bray

We need to keep the summer fest alive in order to breed life back into the town.

The beach has been reseracted, and the town is getting these, we need this showcase on an annual basis in order to encourage people to come back to the town. I myself only relocated back to Bray in the last two years, but always came home for the summer fest.

Colette Collopy-Bell - Bray's my hometown x

It would be a shame for the town to lose this event! It provides a much needed cash injection to the town and puts Bray on the map! It also brings people to the town and motivates the locals and let's them be proud of the facilities they provide along with the warm Irish welcome! This is what the Irish are known for, don't take away Bray's heart!

Re:

This is coming from someone who lives by the seafront.  I would not mind the festival so much if litter was cleaned after and if peope were fined for whipping their junk out to take a wee in public. My dog and I dodged a lot of vomit and glass last summer as well!  Having a festival if the city can maintain a festival  sounds reasonable.

. Ours is a seaside town and the Festival and it attracts thousands to our town every Summer what a shame if it were to end all because a minority disagree with it!
