Because why should people lose their jobs and horses lose their lives? there must be other ground that can be used for this purpose, ie soccer academy

Please let the stables remain where they are - moving them too far out of Durban will make riding inaccessible to a lot of children who can't afford to travel to Shongweni. This yard is run as an NPO thereby making it affordable for children to follow their dreams of becoming equestrians.

Use existing Mosas Stadiam and all the others that are used on the weekend and leave the cycle stables and market alone. Nepotism and corruption RULE OF LAW for the RATE PAYERS EMPLOY THEY SHOULD BE FIRED AND SENT TO ROBBEN ISLAND

All my friends and family love the Stables Flea Market. It is upmarket and classy and so much to look at and purchase. It's our Sunday treat to take a leisurely walk to all the stalls. We cannot imagine Durban without Stables.

I love horses and the newmarket stables is the best place to ride

I think there are enough places already in this area where people can practice football that aren't even been utilized to their full capacity. Thank you.

Interaction with animals and particularly horses is therapeutic and cuts across all divides of gender, race , age and education. That this facility also provides an income for grooms and safe haven for retired race horses means it has relevance in many spheres .Soccer is pretty much one dimensional - Besides SA has football facilities in excess after the World Cup which are not being utilised.

Horse riding is such a cathartic way to de-stress, especially city children. Why close something that is beneficial to everyone?

Save our stables and horses , they're very special
Guest#493 Aug 09, 2015, 07:17
I went horseback riding and had to stop because the stable near my home closed. It would be sad to see how over 100 children cant go horseback riding anymore and also my favourite horse was put down because they didnt find a home for him
Guest#494 Aug 09, 2015, 07:45
Because we must save Stables
Guest#495 Aug 09, 2015, 13:53

It's a safe family outing and whilst not having much to do in Durban we visit the stables at least 3 times a month. Good music, food, bargains. It also provides employment for some of the older folks. It's some of the guys bread and butter...
