Save Pomegranate Restaurant

You would hope this type of thing would have stopped 20 years ago but apparently not. Good Luck with your petition. It's not an eyesore.

The Sign and look of this restaurant is far from an eyesore and has great decor and food

I just hope that common sense prevails and justice is served for this lovely restaurant and their hard working owners

As a fellow restaurant owner I back you all the way. People need to take a chill pill and think about how they would feel. Small businesses need all the help they can get right now.

I really hope the neighbors motivation is not racial (how could they be so blatant?) and that it must be something else....regardless of that this seems very unfair and unjustified if it truly is based just on signage and lighting. if the light bothers them let them keep the signs at least? no one should have to lose their livelihood over something this petty.

What's so offensive about Pomegranate? Not sure I understand why the hell this complaint has been upheld. Ridiculous.

The Pomegranate is a colourful and happy part of Leith Walk and Edinburgh day and night life.... Let it be.

I go past this establishment on a daily basis and in my opinion the frontage of the premises is one of the most attractive in Edinburgh. I am also a qualified town planner and believe this decision lacks common sense and damages the profession. As for pandering to small minded bigots...

Total disgrace

I've never eaten at this restaurant but the idea that their lighting and signage is a problem to anyone is just beyond me. It looks like any other restaurant frontage. Whoever is in charge of this sort of thing - please see some sense?

To whom it may concern, the Council etc. Please don't legitimise a racist action by allowing these restrictions to pass.

Ridiculous. Smacks of racial prejudice. I know where this is and the Italian used to be there with 'signage'. Edinburgh council should take a stand against racial harassment, not condone it. The signage is appealing to my eyes. In London, complaints of this nature would be laughed at.

Food not fascism.

why is the signage so wrong? it clearly has a lovely frontage which is interesting and friendly. its what drew me to the restaurant in the 1st place. the food is lovely

Leave successful businesses to grow this could kill a small business after all we are multicultural and should embrace change when it's digging the country out of recession
