I see the Terrace as the potential centerpiece of the renewal of this piece of W. Broadway and the Robbinsdale civic and economic community. I would love to see live community theater here. There is ample parking and easy access to highways. 36th Avenue may need attention, much like Bottineau Boulevard received, but with the light rail going in, well worth the effort.

I grew up in North Minneapolis and the when multi-plex theaters were all the rage you could still experience movies on a screen at the Terrace Theater that was so large you couldn't help but be drawn into the magic of what you were watching. It's an experience I've nevr had at any other theater.

I watched many movies there growing up never realizing its importance until I was much older and could understand it's historic significance.

I grew up going to the Terrace Theatre. I miss the glorious lobby and huge screen.

I saw my first movie at the Terrace...The Sound of Music. The theatre is an architectural treasure, an attraction, and an integral part.of our community....

Because this is a beautiful theatre that holds memories for many and the architecture of the theatre is unmatched compared to the boxes they put us in to watch a movie today. In fact I don't go to movie theatres anymore because I can't stand sitting in a nasty box! I love going into a theatre where you can feel the life it holds inside.

I lived In Robbinsdale from 1945 to 1969.

Saturday's were movie day at The Terrace Theater!

Terrace

My Dad took my bother and sisters and I to all the Disney moves at the Terrace in the 60's and 70's I coumtinued goimg threr as i got older. In a perfect world it should stay and go back to one biig screen with the belconie' like it was once before.

What a beautiful picture, and I went there to one of my first movies as a child. The fantasy in architecture and fun is very needed in this otherwise boring new architecture. I hope it lives on and is kept restored and used as a theater, or meeting place. But even a museum, or to house the strip mall places, and to find what is fitting and needed for that area, is worth the extra effort of the community in the long run. Vintage Quality of that level is rare and important for Quality Lives. As a Landmark for Advertising, now I want to go there !

My daughter and son-in-law live in Robbinsdale, and I agree that this is an architectural gem worthy of saving.

We grew up across Highway 100 from the Terrace in Robbinsdale and believe that my father, general manager of WCCO Radio at the time, was MC for its opening night. The Terrace is mid-century modern masterpiece and must not be destroyed,

I have many find memories of the Terrace Theatre as a child. This is a historical building and deserves to be saved and purposed.
