Save the Historic Terrace Theatre

I remember going to the Terrace Theater as a kid and young adult it was a Grand Theater and a great place to watch movies.
I really hope that it can be saved and restored to the way it once was. Not the multi theater it became.
It could also become a great place for lectures .

This building is an icon as well as a landmark on a major thoroughfare. It represents and defines a critical era the likes of which may never be seen again.

The architectural value of this icon should be preserved. Everything does not need to become a parking lot or another half empty office building.

Because '"THE" Terrace has been vacant to many years and my husband and I used to go there before and after getting married. It was very beautiful and I hope we can get it restored to it's former glory. Then use it for many different things, it will bring business to Robbinsdale, and it is the right thing to do in that area.

Important to save old buildings

I loved the Terrace Theater and would love to see another movie there someday!!!

We are losing too much of our American heritage with the constant demolishing and rebuilding. Some of these buildings represent uniquely American architecture and should be preserved for the future. It is a shame that we are losing these unique buildings to the commercial version of McMansions. Please save the historic Terrace Theatre.

WE not only need this theatre, but it is a historic monument. Please someone, buy it and fix it up and let's go to the movies.

I saw many movies as a kid & as i grew up here in N. Minneapolis. Very nostalgic to my family & I.

I used to go to the terrace to watch the movies back in the fifties and sixties it was beautiful and should stay a landmark of Robbinsdale of days gone by

I grew up in North Mpls. And went to many movies at the Terrace . I always was amazed at that theater. It is a huge historical part of Robbinsdale.

I'm originally from the area....and now I'm an architect, great buildings should be saved. Tear down something less worthy if you need to tear down history.

Became uptown has a theatre, Columbia heights has a theatre, along w/a few other surrounding communities. Reopening the Historic Terrace would not only enteraun, but also create a handful of job opportunities w/in the community. ......& yes I also frequented the facility. Hey, the 1 on 7th dwntwn was saved, moved around 2 hennepin ave.!! Lets revive it! Maybe even place a ferris wheel, or carousel in front of it!!!

Being born and raised in Robbinsdale, I went to the terrace all the time!!!! I miss it.

I don't know if saving the Terrace as a movie theater is a viable option, but from an architectural and historical perspective it's an important building.

Progress includes remembering our past. This a wonderful example of mid-century architecture and a nice piece of local history. A revitalized niche theater would enhance the livability in Robbinsdale.
