I am against the building or opening of any and all religious buildings or institutions as they are places where indoctrination and the imprisonment of reason take place.

Yes their may be more churches than mosques, but they are buildings built way back when. And the COE is the traditional religion of the country so this is why I believe the mosque shouldn't be built as there is in my opinion to many religious establishments everywhere in the country, so why add more, it could be used for a different use such as a community area ouside of religion.

I can honestly say now that I hope yous all keep shouting about how you don't want any Muslims in bridge and how it's out of order because England is christian because it means this whole petition has failed.

NO we haven't got much left of Stalybridge that would be the final nail in the coffin WE need something for everyone and not end up like the west end of Ashton or worse still like Oldham

Stalybridge is only a small town and a mosque is the last thing it needs when there is one around 10 minutes away in Ashton Under Lyne.

Can we all take into account the traffic situation on this road please not race not religion ! The real reason for the petition is due to heavy traffic load and all the residents as you enter the car park from the residential area.
The road is constantly grid locked as it is with having 2 schools / supermarket / pubs and homes on that small road.

The 7 stars pub was not allowed to open after the mosque was built due to their religious reasons ! Are we really going to allow the few remaining shops we have left to close ?!?

Thisdoesn't make sense? You have given the definition of a mosque and then said that this is going to be used as a community centre but it is still a mosque?  0.9% of 24,000 is still a significant number of people to use an education and community centre. It's just the location that's wrong. Nothing to do with who wants to use the building.

Absolutey disgusting that buildings being built for none true British citizens. We don't ask for churches to be built.

Can't see this being for everyone and try using the road daily it's a nightmare now never mind if this goes a head try making it into something that is more needed they have a centre Ashton

Can you stop playing the race card its getting old now! The mosque/community centre or whatever it is is being opposed because of genuine grievances whether you agree or not.
