mosque
I live in stalybridge and i m a Muslim I do disagree with a mosque being built but the the reason that there isn't a lot of Muslims in the area and it would be pointless and would only attract Muslims from diffenert area and cause a lot of traffic problem. It also seems to me there is a lot of racism in the area. I am a doctor at Tameside hospital and when I'm saving some ones life I'm a good person. Muslims arnt terrorist crazy animals are but seem to me most people on here are also terrorist because I am not terrified to live in stalybridge with my children who are British and my wife who is British in case we get attacked by racist people in the area. Most of you should be ashamed of your self for judge a race and religion over acts of a small majority of people. There are 2.3 billion Muslims on this planet not every one of them Muslims are terrorist just like not every priest is a child molester think about it. Plus they brought the building with there money they can do what they want within reason
Re:
But they have no intention of being in community with everyone else they segregate themselves but having all this theres no need they could use the civic hall if they want to be within the community. It will face wetherspoons and will soon have that shut. How many pubs etc have been turned into mosques or facing near mosques and the pubs have now closed down due to complaints the muslims have made about being near a pub being against their faith. Not on at all if they want a mosque fine but don't destroy our community!!
occupied, please please do not build a mosque!!
Re: Re:
I signed the petition as a hyde resident and I fully understand why some local Stalybridge residents object to this proposal, I see the issues which concern them and for this reason I give them my support to object.
Sad times
I fully support a mosque /centre of learning in Stalybridge. Just not where it is currently proposed to be located. The comments here serve to highlight this centre is needed.....clearly some ill informed views. How people can comment it will impact on house prices ? What rubbish, I would imagine such a centre would encourage more integration as those wishing to visit the centre may also decide to move here ? The housing market would perhaps see a boom ! :)
Re: Sad times
What a silly comment. Speak to the people of the West End of Ashton and see how their house prices dropped.
