Petition for School Safety and Accountability – Diamond Creek Elementary

We, the undersigned parents and guardians of students at Diamond Creek Elementary School, are deeply concerned about the growing violence and unsafe conditions within our school community.

The recent violent incident that resulted in a staff member, Mrs. Morse, being attacked by a student, having her head slammed into a railing and being punched repeatedly has shaken our confidence in the school’s ability to maintain a safe learning environment.

It is unacceptable that such acts of aggression are occurring on campus, and we believe the district’s response has not reflected the seriousness of these events.

We demand immediate action from the Roseville City School District to ensure the safety of both students and staff.

We respectfully request that the district and school board:

  1. Conduct a full, transparent investigation into the recent incident and prior complaints.
  2. Enforce disciplinary measures per California Education Code §48915(a)(1) for assault or battery on a school employee.
  3. Implement stronger school safety protocols, including mental health evaluations and staff protection.
  4. Communicate openly with parents about all actions taken to prevent further violence.

Together, we demand accountability, transparency, and action.
