Put Ryan Tubridy back on RTE radio.

Ryan Tubridy has been the greatest ambassador for independent bookshops throughout Ireland for many years. Every single day he had something generous and supportive to say, and people bought books he recommended. He always kept a focus on local independent shops encouraging book buyers not to use Amazon and instead to support local businesses, and there in turn also supporting jobs, and the wider industry including Irish authors, wholesalers, publishers etc.   

 

Independent bookshops have a very positive and unique way of harnessing the cultures,  social values and the history of Ireland. He has an instinctive understanding of this and consistently promotes them in Ireland.   

 

He is a tireless advocate for good causes, especially children's charities for whom he has helped to raise millions of euro.    

 

We are hugely thankful to him and strongly believe it's time his fans come out in support of him now.       

 

It's time our public accounts committee restore confidence in their work and stop allowing former RTE board members to walk away from their responsibilities and own up to their own crafty dishonesty and complete incompetence.
