Stop The Development Of Public Car Park In Europort Road (adjacent to West One) - Gibraltar
Please sign this petition to help save the Public Car Park in Europort Road from being developed into another private 14 Storey high rise building.
If the planned development is not stopped we will lose a valuable public car park with disabled parking spaces which is a valuable asset in this area for the community.
This busy and popular car park makes visiting the Children's Primary Care Centre, the Chemist in WestOne, Rowing Clubs, offices in Europort Road and those using the Sports Court very convenient. (Old photo below showing Car Park before chemist opened)
It also doubles up on occasions as a community space for events such as Charity Boot Sales etc.
If this development is not stopped, the planned 14 storey building will finally enclose the Edinburgh Estate completely in high rise buildings.
The plans also show the building encroaching the pedestrian footpath by the bus stop creating a dangerous pinch point where pedestrians are likely to step in the busy road to pass one another.
