Save Otahuhu Town Hall and Community Facilities
Petition to Auckland Council and Mangere-Otahuhu Local Board
We, the undersigned, oppose the proposed sale of the community facilities at 10-16 High St. Otahuhu.
The land and the buildings are owned for the citizens and ratepayers and should not be sold.
The organisations that operate from these facilities provide essential services to all the people of Otahuhu.
The Otahuhu Town Hall is the historical, social and cultural heart of the community.
We need to retain all the existing community facilities.
In the future, with an increasing population, more, not less, community facilities will be needed to house those organisations that address community needs and social problems.
