I'm signing this petition because I want Ladysmiths name to remain as Ladysmith. We have roads with potholes, street lights that doesn't light up the streets, electricity that's always cut off because a sub station blew up, and no water because the infrastructure is too old. Instead of worrying about a drop in ocean (changing the name of the town), rather spend that money in making LADYSMITH a better town for those who actually live in it than for those who will only bring a few rands on expedition.

It's going to cost local businesses a lot of time and money that they currently don't have to change documentation, signage, stamps, etc.

It's going to cost local government a small fortune which should rather be spent to improve the towns ever failing service delivery.
