I live in 10th Avenue in the Moot, and the block we're in is so densely populated that it sometimes takes half an hour to drive the 500 metres from De Beer Street to my home in 10th Avenue. Some flats house up to 15 people, including very young children, with no place to walk or play. We no longer feel safe, because property owners don't live in the neighbourhoods that they are completely over-crowding, sometimes with illegal immigrants.

The infrastructure cannot sustain this and crime are increasing with all undocumented people flooding into this "low cost" housing with no regulations. The lawlessnes that follows causes our area to loose value and market value. Our children are not safe an community services under huge pressure. COT has not got the manpower.

Our community is in dire need of basic municipal services already, now, by overcrowding the already poor infrastructure is experiencing higher usage of roads and other necessary infrastructure which is already not being adequately maintained.
This also influences the already overburdened police services as criminals are drawn to areas where the possibility exits to commit more crime as there are more people to be attacked, burgeld etc.
