40mph speed limit between Henfield and Woods Mill, A2037

Following the latest tragic death on the usual corner of the A2037 between Henfield and Woods Mill (Post code BN5 9SE), this petition calls for an immediate 40mph speed limit on this short stretch of road, to provide a contiguous speed limit of 40mph between these 2 locations.

The recent death just adds to the local knowledge that this road is safe only if driven with due care.

The writer lives directly opposite this corner, and with the neighbours are the first on the scene to try and help injured or dying people, and would rather not have to witness such carnage with the attendant damage, all caused by over speeding motor bikes and cars.
